how wonderful VWL is. We've walked through and it is beautiful! I love the theming -- because I love the Rockies.

I'm going to try to get my wife to stay there next trip. If she likes it maybe she'll want to do an add-on. (She's a die hard OKW fan and it's hard to get her to try anything else.)

We tend to think that all the villas are grand at VWL! And us VWL lovers do tend to gush a bit....must be that geyser influence!

Truthfully, I can see where VWL is not to everyone's tastes in theming and/or decor. If your wife is a die-hard OKW fan, she may in fact be disappointed with the room sizes or the decor colors. You will want to prepare her as much as possible with pictures, etc of the villas so her initial impression is not disappointment.

Good luck in convincing her to sample VWL!

Dh and I also love VWL. I find it to be very relaxing and quiet. So if that is important to your wife on vacation, it might tip the scale in your favor. We would also love to do an add on there.

January is our first trip to VWL. We have previously stayed at WL, before the villas were built there and love the theming. Anyone who loves the theme should try GC at DL. It is just as spectacular on the inside.

We also recommend a visit to AKL at WDW which we think is equally as well themed.

We own at VWL, and love it. We were on the fence about whether it was the right time for us to buy into DVC, but we stayed there right after it opened and we knew it would sell fast, so we took the plunge to be sure we could stay there.

On our last trip, my in-laws (who own at OKW) stayed with us. My BIL complained the entire time about how small the room was, while my MIL & FIL really enjoyed the atmosphere of the resort. So, I guess it all depends on personal preference!
