I can't decide!

It is between Kona Cafe and 50's Prime Time for dinner.

I would like to try 50's, but I am afraid the antics will get to my husband. Possibly me too, if he is irritated

I would like good food, and they both appeal to me.

So, have you been to either and would you recommend one or both?

It would be more convienent to go to 50's as we will be going back to that park that night, but it will not bother us to go to Kona either as long as we make it back for fantasmic. We have never seen that and never been to Hollywood studios for that matter...

Its easier to just stay in the park for a meal rather than leave and come back. The waitresses at 50's will play off of you - they will pick up if you aren't feeling their antics.

I agree with the PP. Hauling your carcass all the way back to the Poly from DHS, is gonna take time. Bus, car, etc.

50's has good food. If you aren't responsice to the antics, they'll tone it down. Go with it.

Well that was what I was thinking...they will feel us out.

Oh, if we choose, we will be going to Kona from our resort. We plan on touring HS in the morning and we always take a pool break at our hotel. Then we plan to go back to HS. So will will just have the extra step from our hotel to Poly then to HS if we eat at Kona. I know 50's will be more convient, I am just looking for the best meal of the two as well.

I have to say, if convenience is not so much an issue for you, that I would recommend Kona. I have never been to 50's but have heard so many conflicting reports about the quality of the food and the service that I'm not sure I'd take a chance. I have never had a single bad experience at Kona in the many times we've eaten there.

I have not eaten at Kona so I can't say anything about their food. I will say, however, that 50's is a MUST for us on every trip. My kids love it...the antics and the food! We have never had a bad meal from 50's. They will tone it down if you don't appear to be enjoying the "ribbing!"

50ptc...has great food and as the pp stated if you are not in to antics they will not really provoke you...

I have eaten at both. We enjoyed 50s PTC, and the antics were just right. Fun, but not too annoying. However, I LOVE the food at Kona. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all delicious.

50's has good food, and a pretty cool atmosphere. It is definitely more convenient to stay in the park than shuffle back to a hotel, but since you aren't looking for the convenience so much...

The Kona has GREAT food, and an amazing relaxed atmosphere. You can't go wrong there.

I would go with 50's Prime Time Cafe because I think they have great food and atmosphere, plus when comparing their menus I like what they have compared to the Kona Cafe. I have also been to Prime Time Cafe on multiple occasions and it's one of my favorite places to eat at.

50s was just OK for us. We probably won't go back.

Kona was wonderful. I went with a party of all adults, so that might have made a difference, not sure. The food was just so much better at Kona.

The food at Kona is much better. I also have a DH who is not into the antics at 50's. I took him anyway and paid for it with a bad attitude. Kinda ruined the whole thing so no more 50's for us.

We love the food at Kona! And obviously the Poly is a great location!
