I've noticed on some threads that people are being edited and told they are not allowed to give information about other posters. But the information they are putting out there are direct quotes from the poster, often times in other threads.
Can you please explain to me why it is not ok to reference something someone else said. If the poster had wanted that information to be kept a secret, they would not have posted it on a public forum. But since they did, it seems as though they would have no problem with people quoting it.
Do the rules state that people are not allowed to reference quotes from one thread in a different thread?

If a post is deleted or edited THEN the quotes will go obviously but the story here is not making sense to me. That's why I suggested asking the mods on that board
whatever personal information one offers for public consumption is fair game. Most likely, the "accused" DON'T offer up their personal affairs IRL to close relatives/friends/collegues because they KNOW they'd get called on it.
