I think Heelies look like fun. My son would get a kick out of them. That said, kids do not belong on Heelies in restaurants, bars (yes, I said BARS), grocery stores, etc. They are, in actuality, skates.
As for parents letting us do things in public that annoyed others? Not hardly.
If my son wanted heelies, I would consider letting him have some. But he would be heelying where skating is appropriate.
I doubt DISers are making up getting run into. What would be the purpose? And if nobody saw out-of-control kids on heelies, or never got run into, where would this strong dislike come from? I suppose it is possible that some people exaggerate, to make their point. I also think it's just as likely that some DISers who allow their kids to heely all over town might forget to mention that their own kids ran into someone/something/heelied out of control at some point. (just my thought).
OMG I am not making any sense. Getting late or something. SORRY!!!! (Hope I phrased everything right!)
