I was curious about the race. I don't think I have heart to participate one since I don't do well in heat/humidity. I run 3 miles each day but I do that inside of airconditioned facility.

I'm shocked that they offered a full refund. That was very generous!!! Only need to show up on your credit card though.

You are right there is a big difference between running in the gym and running outside in the heat! I learned the hard way

That is ALOT of MONEY! I had no idea a disney race was so expensive. That seems hugely expensive. I was thinking maybe $35 - 45 a person. Yikes! Well, any hopes I ever had of running a race there are now gone unless you end up telling me it was the greatest experience ever. Running is work. I rather get it over with and then enjoy myself doing something else. I really hope you get your money back.

The race was around 75$ each and then the pin was maybe $10? Then there is a "processing fee". So it is a costly venture and I may be wrong but I think some of the other races have even higher fees?

I would never have asked for a refund as I'm just not that kind of person. I only went to complain in hopes of getting Caitlin a shirt that fit. HOwever, since they offered me the refund I will keep pursuing it

Poor thing will be running in a t-shirt dress! That's so odd that they didn't order enough pins- don't they keep track when you sign up? It's great they offered a refund, though! You are so right about the shirt! They were unisex and the medium is so large my husband who normally wears a large can wear it Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I ordered a small but I should have ordered an extra small. I can still wear it, but it is big. Brad's is too big for him too, he got a large. Sorry to hear about your troubles with the check in. We went on Friday and they had everything inside because of the rain that day. We still went and took pictures of the base camp though.

After months of training for the race I was really bummed at the way the checkin went.

The heat was a challenge especially since we hadn't had any warm weather at home yet.

The race seemed really poorly managed. I had only ever heard good things about Disney races so this experience really took me by surprise.

I wouldn't go looking for a refund either, but if they weren't gonna give you the pin you ordered then they should have refunded that and Caitlin and you should get a shirt that fits. It sounds like its run like any other 5K, but with an exorbitant price tag.

Anyway - really looking forward to hearing all about it (exorbitant price or not). I bet it was cool to run in the AK after dark! don't keep us waiting too long!

It was expensive but being Disney I expected it to be a great experience and felt it would be worth the money.

The registration problems weren't the only ones related to the race too. There are more to come
