I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

...the bus system at ESPN wasn't the easiest understand. People were supposed to walk out to the parking lot let someone know what bus they were then they randomly pulled up every once in a while :confused3

Oh, of course. That makes sense. :sad2:

I played games with the little kids like hot potato, musical spots (like musical chairs) and danced to a couple of songs (the Cupid Shuffle and Cotton Eyed Joe)

Ya know, I still haven't figured out why Caitlin is somethimes mistaken for a little girl. There's got to be some clue somewhere...

Luckily the teenaged boys who decided to follow me around the pool were sitting near my mom and killing the ones that landed near her

Ah! You've discovered a use for teenage boys! Did you also know that you can get them to run and bring you food and drinks? Just sayin'... :rotfl:

Awww... too cute. :goodvibes

...all of the resorts were carrying sushi now and it was the same sushi you could get at the counter service in Japan in Epcot.

I didn't know that! Sweet! :thumbsup2

We lined up near the sign for the Expedition Everest wait and while we waited multiple people lined up behind us. After an Expedition Everest bus passed us one of the ladies in line decided to go ask about the buses. We had been waiting there for a while and it turned out we were in the wrong spot! :headache: The bus was picking people up in front of the hotel :sad2:

Well of course. Why would you expect the bus to stop there just because there's a sign for it? I mean really. Next you'll expect food at a place that says "restaurant" or drink at a place that says "bar/lounge". Sheesh. :sad2:

Up next the actual race!!!

Can't wait! :goodvibes

Sounds like a nice, relaxing afternoon. Love hanging out at the pool and just visiting the resort themed decorations. I love sushi too, but don't know if I could eat that before a big race. But then again, I'm not a runner. Can't wait to hear about the race!

:thumbsup2 for the refund arriving!

Hey there!
We're back in town again.

Caitlin - you are SOoooooo lucky to get Chewie pics with little wait - that was our longest wait of Star Wars Weekends.

And it sucks to hear about your race registration woes - but a full refund (now that you finally got it) sounds like a good way to make it up to you!

What did you think of the AS Sports pools?
We wandered the whole resort while there but didn't actually make it in a pool.
We were too exhausted...

We did like the AS Sports theming - did you visit Mount Mickey?

Oh, of course. That makes sense. :sad2:

Yeah I don't think we will be going back to ESPN anytime soon

I was looking for a smiley face that was sticking it's tongue out but I couldn't find one  I realize I don't always do the adult things  Luckily I can still get away with it but once I am 80 no more Disney dance parties for me :rotfl:

Ah! You've discovered a use for teenage boys! Did you also know that you can get them to run and bring you food and drinks? Just sayin'... :rotfl:

That is such a good idea! I will definitely have to keep that in mind!

Thank you!

I didn't know that! Sweet! :thumbsup2

I was impressed and it was really good!

Yeah I don't know what we were thinking :sad2: Especially with the luck we had been having we should have known it was a set up  That's it maybe the Everest Race people really didn't want us to come because they knew we would beat everyone! That's why they caused us so much trouble! That is now my story and I am sticking to it!:thumbsup2

It was a great afternoon!

It really wasn't that bad! It wasn't too heavy or anything so it was nice :thumbsup2

We were very excited!

Technically we waited an hour  if you count waiting around the area for him  I was very excited to see him and the two other girls without any wait!

It was nice and they are supposed to be sending us the right sized shirt and a pin so we will see..

I loved it! It was pretty crowded when we went but it was nice for a short stay :thumbsup2

We never made it over to the other side of the resort for some reason :confused3

:p There ya go... but when looking for smileys for me, this will do -> :worship:

just kidding.

Hey didn't you know that 80 is the new 60 which was the new 40 which used to be the new 20? So I figure when you're 80 you'll still be dancin' up a storm... with your new hip. :rolleyes1

Just wanted to let you guys know that the race refund came through today :cool1:

I really appreciate that Disney offered us the refund and by following through it shows that they definitely deserve their reputation for awesome customer service! :thumbsup2

Hooray for refund!!! It took long enough but you got your refund!
Caitlin looks so cute on her yellow bikini! Love that color on her!
Dawn, I guess you didn't get much rest after only 4 hrs of sleep, huh?

Thank you! I was very happy to get it :)

I tried to take a nap at the pool but it didn't happen so you're right we went to the race on 4 hours sleep

What? You couldn't sleep at the pool? I can't understand why not; what with Caitlin dancing all over the place and over-zealous teenage boys stomping love bugs all around you. Sounds like the perfect set up for a nice relaxing nap... :rolleyes1

All caught up now!

What fun you had on the DIS meet at MK! Sounds like the little girl is truly a DISer in the making, or perhaps one of those plaid-vested special tour CMs? :goodvibes

What a complete hassle at the registration for the race! It seems like nothing is going right so far about it...I hope that changes! :headache: What a pain about having to email and call to get your refund too...but at least you got it! That is good!

Looking forward to hearing about the race!!!!

Glad you're all caught up :)

I could definitely see her as a Disney Tour Guide. She knew her stuff :thumbsup2

The pre-race stuff was a hassle but Caitlin complained our last trip didn't have enough drama so that's what we get

I became addicted to running after this race and I now run about 7 miles a week :thumbsup2 I would love to do another Disney race but Idk if that will be happening :rolleyes1

I recently got into running, too (about 3 months ago). I thought I'd share some suggestions that I got from fellow runners with much more experience than myself.

First, I got a Garmin Forerunner 305 off Amazon (only about $130) to track my runs. It's a GPS watch that can tell you your pace while your running and it stores a history of your workouts. After you're done running, you can connect it to your computer and upload your workout to the program that comes with it, but I upload them to runkeeper, mapmyrun, or dailymile. It's basically an online community for runners, and it's a place where you can keep track of your workouts. After you upload it, your route is put on a map and a plot of your average pace over time is displayed to show you how well you ran. It also calculates calories burned, total miles run per week, etc. The neat thing is that you can connect with a community of runners, so you have some form of a support system.

Just thought I would share whatever I've picked up so far ... keep running :thumbsup2

That sounds like an awesome running gadget! I am definitely not tech savvy enough for it though

Thank you for letting me know about it!
