This lack of available seats on short notice will continue to get worse over time. Airlines have learned, from the failures of their competitors, that excess capacity can kill an airline faster than a bad safety record. Young airlines age, and as they do they will need to ensure that they have no more capacity than they can sell, or they could be facing the same problems as the major airlines have faced in recent years.
