well--mom and I hit DLR on a whirlwind day last Tuesday which had us awake for a total of 25 hours before returning to our San Diego hotel at about 1:30am (after leaving Baltimore Maryland at about 5am that morning and flying cross country.....---ok I was nuts but I HAD to get to Disneyland!!! LOL!) I brought with me a lanyard full of traders from WDW and high hopes. the park was MOBBED and it was HOT and I saw very few CM's with lanyards. I did very little trading with CM's (mostly for fun and to get some DL pins for future WDW trades) but had a BLAST. We spent the majority fo the day just enjoying the park and taking LOTS of pcitures. I was SOOO excited that the Princesses were so accessible (unlike at WDW)--I got to meet Cinderella with ZERO wait outside the castle and one of the daily Princess "meet and greets"! My big pin trade of the day was while waiting in line to view my photograph with Mickey at the photo shop on main street and a woman and her husband in line behind me had lanyards on. I traded my extra WDW Star Wars logo pin for the DL mystery pin #4 ( Jiminy Cricket) which I thought was really cute and had been released apparently the day before my arrival! One pin I was curious about was a little pink teacup that I got off a CM lanyard. again--I knew nothing about the pin --just thought it was cute so I traded for it. anyone have a clue what it is from? I got lots of comments and questions from cast members about my DIZPINS pin and my DIS pin which were displayed prominently on my lanyard!

OK--I just searched Pinpics and found my mystery little teacup:

2412: Disneyland September 2000 Mini Pin - Fantasyland Teacup

pinpics says it was a LE of 5000 pins. ---and I got this off a CM lanyard in a little shop in New Orleans Square without knowing what the heck it was! talk about your dumb luck!! LOL!

Oh--and one other thing---I had the Rescuers 5 pin set that I got from the video release--I put the 5 pins on my lanyard curious if they would be tradable under the new DLR guidelines. I successfully traded 2 out of the 5 pins before I hit a CM that told me she couldnt take the pin (she ran her finger over the pin and said it was "slick" and therefore not tradable). I did the test myself and noticed that while they clearly looked like cloisenee pins they felt like they had an enamel coat on them. The 2 I traded to CM's were Bernard and Bianca and the CM's were happy to see new characters/pins that they could trade. the lanyards were covered with the Mickey Travel Co pins and some others that I cant recall right now--but every now and then I would see something new and different. I put a few of DS Millinium pins and some WDW rack pins on the lanyards--so hopefully I made some DLR traders happy who found them!

is one of the 9 pins that go on the first map. The Disneyland map...........where the horrible "D" goes.
We just finished the second map (Neverland Map) and this July starts the next map..............not sure of what it will be, rumor is 100 Acre Woods or Snow White. We will find out on the 1st.

When we were there end of May, most of the map pins from the first set and all the pins from the second set were READILY available on all CM lanyards.
I too started with the teacup, cuz I thought it was cute. (Still do ;) )
