any info on this mtel would be great.

Just a solo trip so I just need some info on a reasonable place to stay

Hi Rick!

We stayed in the Ho Jo Maingate East last August and have no complaints. The rooms are clean, quite spacious and there's a pool and free transport to Disney. It's good value too - I have seen some discounts advertised for it with really low prices.
It's situated right next to Watermania, and is about 10 mins walk from Old town. There's no food court, but there's an International House of Pancakes beside it and Shoney's and Sizzlers are all quite close by. It's also really close to a pharmacy which sold everything we needed (Walgreen's??)
All in all we had a great time here and found the accomodation to be of a good standard.

Hope you enjoy your holiday

Maria

Hi Rick!

I happen to the the world's only Hojo ME fan. I've stayed there several times. Don't know why, I just like it.

From the "If it were me" department: I would pay the extra five to ten bucks (always negotiable, fight for the five) for what they call the "double delux." Then request a ground floor room at the back pool. This is a two floor hotel. A "double delux" has a microwave and refrigerator, which may or may not have value to you. But more import, you face the pool rather than Irlo Bronson. The upper floors have a limited number of stairways and you can find walking back and forth to your car a pain.

As for getting a room by the back pool, the front pool has the hot tub and the bar. We found that this resulted in the pool being full most mornings from opening until 10 AM or so, and at night it would be cooking until midnight. The back pool was quiet.

My two cents. Hope it helps.

I have stayed there on my last trip to Florida in January 2000, for 8 days.

I also had the "deluxe" room, because I wanted the refrigerator. My room was also clean and definitely large enough. Everything was in perfect working condition. Did not have one complaint.

Good value at a decent price.

I like it and will probably stay there again. I can´t see why I should be spending a small fortune on a hotel when I´ll only be sleeping there.
