How To Delete an MDX Account

I would also like to know. I traveled with a friend last year and now can't get her out of my MDX Friends and Family list. We are still friends but the trip was a one time thing so there is no need for her to come up as an option every time I plan a trip!

Removing a "friend" is easy - go to MDX - "My Friends & Family" - select the person of interest - click "edit" at the bottom will be a "delete" button

As to delete you own account - I bet you can't. Once Disney has this information it's theirs forever (see terms and conditions) and the best you can do is remove the credit cards and not log-in

Correct. You can delete her from your Friends and Family without deleting your account.

I just called 407-939-7765 and was able to delete my account. You need to give them your e-mail address, first name and birthdate for verification. But it was painless.

The answer I got from Disney IT is you can't. Just answered the same question on another thread. Clearly there are more people than we thought who think this is the easiest way out. Worrying, really.

Oh wow, just goes to show, as always, depends who you speak to.

I'm not under the allusion that they no longer have my e-mail. Heck, that's probably good for PINs. But at least husband's account is no longer "linked" to anything. One less account for them to screw up.

Likely all you can do is prevent access (by you or anyone else) to the account with your name - but the associated data is Disney's forever.

Don't know the utility in being able to "delete" access alone if they have your data (personal information, address, email address, etc.) that is forever available to be hacked.

I am not deleting for security reasons; I am deleting it because the software is so bad that I don't want our info spread across 2 accounts. Disney can't get it right for a family of 4 in one room in an account under DH's name. Reservation disappears. FP+ don't show. ADRs don't show. I'm not gong to complicate it further by "linking" that account to a separate account in my own name that I don't need or even having a separate account into which my info will end up when it just makes sense to have it all in DH's account.
