I was 23 when I had my daughter. I know you didn't ask, but I'll be 26 with this one in due in August.
As far as planning, we actually planned my daughter for a long time, about a year or so before she was conceived. Problem was that she ended up coming along about 11 months before our 'planned birthday'. So much for plans. That was fine though, cause we had already started buying baby stuff (we did that to offset the large costs associated with a 1st child, with furniture, clothing, etc.) and I was already on prenatal vitamins for 6 months before she was conceived so even though she didn't come according to plan and we were quite surprised, it wasn't the huge shock and adjustment I think it would have been otherwise. We would have been 24 as opposed to 23, my husband would have still been in medical school, but I would have been finished or closer anyway with graduate school. So not a big difference overall.
With this baby, once again, we had started planning for it, I'd say since our daughter was about 1.5yo. Of course, yet again, this baby is coming a little earlier than planned. The 'plan' was to start ttc around August or September of this year and #2 is due August 28th. So this time it's around a 9 month difference from planned to actual. I'm just hoping #3 doesn't feel as strongly about making it's entrance sooner than planned, or if so that it at least follows the trend of getting closer to the planned date!

DH was 27.
), but we are still on "schedule". I always wanted children young, I wanted to start trying no later than 25. (The reason being is that women in my family usually have to have hysterectomies in their late 30s-mid 40s) Well, as others have said so much for plans
. I wanted them to be close in age, but not this close, I think we were at least going to wait until next year to start trying for the next one. I have learned in all of this that the birth control pill is not 99% effective on me, and will need to consider other bc options after this one is born.
