How Much Weight Can I Lose in 5 Weeks?

Sorry Shelly-I had NO idea things would get so heated when I asked about your product!I will PM you for futher info after I read your website.
I have always used WW as a guide to loosing weight.I am a lifetime member and go off and on.I really only have about 15 pounds to loose.I am within "goal" weight now BUT I was much happier 15 pounds lighter!I have been doing the point system for a few weeks but I'm not making much progress this time around!?!The last time I faithfully did it the pounds melted off quickly so why is it difficult this time?I'm 34 and chase kids around all day!!haha
Advice from anyone?
Kim

Bumbles, I really don't want to debate this issue. However, I feel that I must respond.

The first link you gave is in reference to the work from home opportunity. It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality or effectiveness of our products. No one is forced to join Herbalife or spend excessive amounts of money to join (although many people have and probably will continue to do so). That is not what I represent!

Second, many products that have been on the market in past years have recently been pulled off the shelves, including children's cough medicine. We learn new things all the time! Herbalife made a decision to create a diet pill which was Ephedra free -- and good for them. Look at Metabolife, Stacker 2 and some of the others you can still get at any drugstore which DO have Ephedra in them. People buy these all the time and get extreme side effects. I say good for Herbalife that they were able to acknowledge the problem and create a solution that works!

I am here to have fun and post with people I have a common interest with. And, now that I have said my piece I will try to refrain from responding to any more negative Herbalife posts. Someone wanted to know how much weight they could lose and I responded with a safe, effective solution. Nothing more!

And Saffron, thank you, I think I will stick around. I was hoping this could be kept light hearted. I really like what I've seen on this forum in the past few days! I can't believe I've been posting for over a year and never really explored the "Community". What a great site DIS is!

The first link was to show what a fine company Herbalife is :)

I hope no one is considering buying Herbalife. Everyone I know that has used it has gotten sick. :o I think it's a shame that someone is trying to use these boards to promote/sell their products.

I'm also Lifetime WW, and I wish I had some helpful advice on how to drop those pounds, but unfortunately, it's always hard to say why you are losing weight this time around.

Try altering the foods you're eating every week or two. Try some different recipes or eat different combinations (e.g. less fruits, more vegetables, etc.) of foods. Increase the amount of water you're drinking. Or maybe eat a few more points (if on the low side of the range) or a few less points (if on the high side of the range). Often, your body just gets used to the amount and types of food that you put into your body and a small change may change up your metabolism for the better.

Good luck! :)

To loose weight you must make a lifestyle change. You need to incorporate fruits and veggies into your daily diet. You also need to re-evaluate your portion size. 6-8 glasses of water a day. Exercise is very important, start with walking. Good Luck :D

At a maximum, you can only lose 2 pounds a week. If people say they've lost more, they're losing water, muscle, etc... To do it safely, 2lbs is very good. Don't put too much emphasis on the scale either. Muscle weighs MORE than fat so if you're exercising and are doing strength training, the scale may seem deceiving! I teach overall wellness (nutrition & fitness) so PM me if you need any help. Good luck!

Antkim,

I agree that WW is a a wonderful program. I have seen several people lose quite a bit of weight on it in a really healthy way. I think one of the things that is good about WW is that it teaches portion control and the importance of fruits, veggies, fiber, water and EXERCISE. Steve H, missymouse and CJK (and others) have given you some really great advice. Stick with it, and you will see results!!

PLEASE, before you take Herbalife or any other so called "weight loss supplement" do your research. There have been at least two wrongful death lawsuits filed against herbalife as well as many many complaints. We just want you to be healthy and safe.

JNJMom, just curious, what are your qualifications as a nutritionist?

You are all missing the point! Jodi has a teenage DD that she needs to BARGAIN with to get her to agree to go to WDW!!! I say to heck with the 10 lbs! I'll go with you, no strings attached!

hmmm...I guess I just misread, or assumed she meant "nutritionalist." I just thought it strange that she was giving advice that didn't have anything to do with, well - nutrition. I don't know WHAT a nutritionalist is.
