My husband has MS and as I posted before he will be in an electric wheelchair, he can and will use his cane for short periods when possible. because he has a severe lack of balance and of course fatique. some of you may understand that the heat and sun cause all MS symtoms to be worse. So what I wondered was how much info does need to be put on the card. I have to admit I knew nothing about MS till he had was DX with it. and realise that most people (even some dr.s) know very little. So would it be important to have it on the card that he cant be left sitting in the sun and heat and/or anything else that should be included info that you can suggest?

The GAC cards are preprinted with some information and then the CM at Guest Services add stamps for other information, depending on what they understand is needed.
In your DH's situation, a lot of people who have MS request GACs, so the CMs should have some idea of what sorts of assistance your DH will need. There is a stamp for an alternate waiting place out of the sun if the queue is in the sun for a prolonged period of time. I think that one covers heat as well. He might not need any other stamps. Quite a few regular posters on this board have MS or similar conditions, so I'm sure you will get some good suggestions if there are other things to consider.

Your DH will already be using the accessible, wheelchair entrances even without a GAC since he has a wheelchair, so you don't need anything about that on the GAC. For transfers to the ride cars, the CMs may ask if he can transfer or not and whether or not he needs moving walkways stopped. That is not something that gets put on the GAC. Some CMs are better than others about asking, so be prepared to let them know what you need if they don't ask.

GACs may be changing yet again soon to counteract some problems both guest and cast issues.

do you know how soon Safari Steve? we are going this august. I am going to assume that the changes will be beneficial to both guest and castmembers.

I don't know how soon.
There will still be no secret to getting them.
Yes, the idea is to make them more user-friendly for everyone (why would we try anything else?) ;)
As has been posted on this board numerous times, you should be able to explain your needs in simple terms, and if there is anything that you don't understand, ask the CM who issues it to you. They are there to help and answer questions.
