I’ve never really bothered with eating in the room at Disney using the various Uber eats etc but this summer we have a 1 bed villa so we’re considering using the dining area and are open to getting meals delivered. We’re from Scotland and it’s not something we tend to do much at home either.

What’s the best option for delivery - UberEat, Just Eat etc and most importantly what restaurants would you recommend ? Open to anything really - Chinese, bar b q, chicken, pizza, burgers etc.

Many thanks

Honestly, the one time we stayed at a villa, I think we just grabbed food from the quick service in the resort and brought it to the room. For breakfast, I made a small order of eggs, waffles and fruit but most of the time, we just ordered QS.

By the time you add the hidden restaurant surcharges (it is not uncommon in my area of CA to see items priced 20-30% higher on Uber Eats than direct from the restaurant), the delivery fee, the service fee and the tip (yes, you tip on food deliveries in the US) you should just mobile order to-go food from Disney's QS. Some Disney hotel TS offer mobile order as well. Unless you hate Disney food or something (some people do, I'm not judging) in which case you should rent a car so you can drive offsite for food.

If your goal is to save money, just do a grocery order. Upside to grocery orders- if you meet the delivery driver you can order alcohol. That will save a pretty penny over Disney's prices!

Doordash and Grubhub are big delivery companies. I've never heard of Just Eat.

Just Eat is the big one in the UK and also exists in a few European countries.

OP, I agree you'd be better off doing mobile order from your resort QS or the TS that offer it. The fees are insane on the US food delivery apps. You can get discount codes for first time users but the savings is easily eaten up by the higher service fees you're charged as someone without their specific subscription service (DashPass for Doordash, UberOne for UberEats, etc).

Thanks folks, interesting reading. Don’t mind the QS idea but I’m there 14 days and by day 4 I’m usually done with the menu 😂 I wish they’d bring proper room service at deluxe hotels, would certainly solve the problem. I’ve done a grocery order but no intention of cooking anything more than toasting a bagel.

Many thanks

If you sign up for a free trial of Uber One, getting food delivered with the tax, tip and fee can still be a better deal than Disney QS, and definitely cheaper than TS. Orlando has some decently good restaurants that are part of Uber Eats and DoorDash. I’ve ordered from Kobe steakhouse many times, they have family platters of steak, rice, noodles, and vegetables that easily serve 4-5 for 80 dollars. Cheesecake Factory won’t blow your mind, but it’s huge portions for a decent price and they cook everything fresh not frozen to order. It isn’t even the money for me, it’s the ick feeling. I can eat a day or two of Disney food before I feel like a blob. I know it’s an unpopular opinion here, but Disney QS food is bad- low quality ingredients cooked in garbage oil usually. Places I’ve ordered from that were worth the money-

4 Rivers BBQ, Kobe, Cafe TuTu, Mia’s Italian kitchen.

Just steer away from Flippers pizza, it’s always recommended for some reason, but is not good.

Download UberEats and Yelp if you haven’t already and order whatever you want. The Yelp app helps you choose the popular ratings of the restaurant of your choosing or just search by category like “Indian”

Have fun.

So I'm not sure if your opposed to cooking? But we have been staying about 21 day lately and I get it that the QS menus get limited for longer stays. So we have down days that we like to spend at the pool or super busy days at Epcot walking around in the heat that wipe us out. We don't feel like going back out to dinner so we cook a few things in our 1 bdrm. Like sheet pan Chicken and some microwave mac and cheese and fresh, frozen veggie on the stove top or a bag of salad. Sometimes we make extra and use the chicken in a chef salad. I bring a little bag of seasoning we like and a small roll of tinfoil so clean up is a breeze and throw the rest in the dishwasher. We get more pool time, nice balcony time with an adult beverage and I would hardly call that cooking on vacation. We have become very good at semi homemade cooking on vacation and only do if 3-4 times in our long stays. I do make a very composed grocery list for our grocery stop. Just a thought for you.

This is what I do for long stays at a DVC one bedroom and for your reason at least for sure. Don’t feel like cooking but want a break from QS? Put in a food order at your fav supermarket and load up on frozen meals and prepped hot dishes.
