How many people never leave WDW while on vacation?

We have left WDW to:
-Look at homes/areas to live like Celebration, Clermont, Windemere, etc..
-Go to the outlets
-Go to Wal-Mart

This trip in October we will have a rental car and we will be going to Universal/IOA/Halloween Horror Nights. We will also look at some more homes and drive to Port Canaveral for our Disney Cruise!

I do not feel a need to leave the property when at WDW. As my two DS's got older they insisted we do Universal (for a change). I agreed to it, however we did that first and then spent the rest of the time at WDW.

Once on-site from the airport, we don't leave WDW property until we have to return to the airport.

We love staying on-site & being away from the outside world while on vacation.

There's lots to do outside the parks:

- resort hopping
- trying new restaurants at various resorts
- swimming at your resort
- seeing the fireworks from your resort
- Electrical Water Pageant at night from the beach
- Campfire at Ft. Wilderness
- Rent Water Mouse Boats
- Play Mini-golf (we're hoping to check this out in Sept!)
- Go to a waterpark
- Go shopping at DTD (we frequently go many times just to browse)
- Check out restaurants at DTD

Have fun!

We never leave. There's nothing else that I want to see besides Mickey Mouse.::MickeyMo

In our last 3 trips, we have never left the property. We are usually still trying to find time to do everything we want to do.

The first vacation I took when I was 8, we went to the beach one day. The second when I was 21 we stayed on WDW property the whole time. 3rd time my mom and I went to Sea World for the day (we'd never been). 4th time Brother and I went to IOA for the day (we wanted to ride more roller costers). This time in December, BF and I will stay on site all 8 nights!

There is MORE than enough to do on WDW property. But for things like going to the beach, Universal, or Sea World it does mean venturing out into the real world for a while!
