How many of ya'll been "bitten" by the Concierge "bug"!

Thank you for all of the well wishes and the P and PD! One can never have enough! You guys are wonderful!

HEY! I remember those dryers! I also remember my head being under one of those, while in those pink sponge rollers, as a very small child! I wonder if that thing is still around? The dryer you described sounded very similar to the dryers in Europe. I ended up having to wash my hair at night, just so it would be dry by morning the dryers were so weak! I thought when we switched to Paris the dryer situation would get better. It got worse! ahhh the little things we put up with for a great vacation, eh?

Club level PSs.. Make them with them! As you can see, they work wonders! I never would have been able to secure a reservation there this week myself! I am also looking forward to what I have heard is preferential seating at some of the restaurants when CL makes your PSs. If it doesn't happen, C'est la vie. I'm in Disney!

The CL lounge is filling up on this thread! That's a good thing! <----martha impersonation. I'll replenish the food and drinks before I leave for the night! Enjoy all!

Thanks for the well wishes. We are slowly improving. I didn't think it was possible to be sick this long. It's kind of sad for DH because this really takes a bite out of his training.

We also have to leave FL earlier than expected-I'm hoping this changes-so I cancelled the Grand One Yacht today for May 24.

Our trip is changing constantly but I just roll with the punches.

The good part is that we are now going to make up the days we will miss in May in the Fall at AKL Concierge.

Yes, My mom really did read to me from the Pooh books!

I just closed two suitcases! And added a carryon filled with shoes! I still have one backup tote bag that is empty and at the bottom of my suitcase for extras.

How in the world could the Polynesian NOT change those terrible hairdryers? They really are like those "portable" haridryers in the pre-blow dryer era. . .I do remember them well--orange juice curlers with long, long locks wrapped around, a GIANT puffy cap pulled over your head and a long, long wait to get dry! Dang, I guess I'll have to remember my travel dryer. I hate to bring it to Polynesian because with two teens and parents, there isn't that much counter space in the bathroom!

That's another pet peeve--wish they would have replaced the single sinks with doubles. . .oh well, then the Polynesian would be sheer perfection and I'd have to live there. . .

We broke the 60 day mark! I know the time will fly now that spring is here and all of the sports are in full swing and school is on the downslope!

Have a great vacation #1hockeymom--oh yeah, you're already gone! Lucky puck! Hope you get to see the Wings while you're down there! Nothing better than watching your favorite teams while in WDW!

Can I join in this thread?? I spent a couple hours last night reading through it and I have to admit that when we stayed at Poly Conc. Nov 2002, I was bitten, but my DH is a bit of a hard sell! We got some pricing last night for the "7 for 4" deal for a trip this fall and the price was right at $2800 for WL conc, including UPH's for me, DH and 2 kids! I thought that sounded like a great price! But I haven't read that much about WL conc, just that people like it! Details, please! I would really like to book this and convince DH that it's something we should try! Btw, we've never stayed at WL.

hunnypotmama I think that sounds like a great deal at WL concierge! We are staying at the Poly concierge for the first time (first time for both) at the end of May. I hope the "bug" bites me me hard! It took a little convincing DH on my part but now he's excited and looking forward to it. Let us know if you decide to stay at WL, that was another resort we considered.

I have stayed there a few times and can assure you that they will take great care of you!! The staff there are very attentive so make sure you take advantage of that as well as the food offerings. They can make suggestions for things to do at specific times of the day and can make priority seating reservations at any eatery on property. I felt that thye have those "ins" that can help get you a ressie even if there are none available.

Like I have said before, we love WL and the concierge staff there!! They treat us like family every time we are there and even remember us by name and face. The view of the lobby from the 7th floor is awsome. There are tables spread out on the railing so you can sit down, have your food or drink, hear the wonderfull lodge lobby music, and see the excitement down in the lobby.

Many of us "lodge lovers" have even purchased the music that is played in the lobby. I am one of them.

I have a question. The Poly concierge booked us a sitter for our 1 year old daughter for a couple of nights, it is through Kid's Night Out, has anyone ever used this service? Last time we went we used Fairy Godmother's, I have never even heard of Kid's night out?

The WL actually sells the music it plays at the resort? I've tried for years to get the Polynesian music--no success. I've been told that it's a loop created by Disney for Disney and they do not sell that material.

They (music entertainment division of WDW) did provide me with a complete list of all songs, performers, album name, etc. for each piece of music played on the grounds. I'd be spending a great deal of money and time trying to find some of the obscure songs to that loop. I was lucky enough to find some of the albums (now cds) at FYE, Amazon, etc.--not all though.

Sure wish that WDW would market a cd of the Polynesian loop!

Dh downloaded the Poly music from somewhere. It is only a 3 min. long mp3, but nice and relaxing.

goodferry....we used KNO this last trip at AKL CL.
She was wonderful ! I highly recommend them!
It's a newer childcare service, from what I heard, a former employee of FG branched out and started her own childcare business. so they are both great!

It's been years since we've stayed there, and THAT music still lingers in my mind! Just GLORIOUS!!!! you know, a MAJESTIC-like sound!
I will be purchasing that CD in June!
