Sorry if I got everyone's hopes up but there is no CD to purchase. I had to purchase 5 CDs to get most of the songs they play in the lobby there. Disney does not sell a CD with resort music on it even though it is believed that they would make money from it. Go figure.

Sounds like me and my SIX purchases at the Poly gift shop, to get the music!
Only difference is that NONE of the songs were on ANY of them!


But, I still enjoy listening to them when I need a Poly FIX!!!

Which CDs did you get that has some of the WL music?

We got a postcard from Goofy in the mail today. It put everyone in the mood for WL. We had just returned from the Dr. where we found out we have strep throat and pink eye. I'm really happy about that

Floridafam - I'm soooo sorry you are guys are having it so rough. I certainly hope you recover quickly !

I read that thread on the bed bugs too and it does give me the jeepers. Yuck, yuck!

On the upside, I do have almost all my travel details finished. Just waiting on a menu and definite times on my Grand1 booking. I've kind of been waiting for a while on that one. This is the only thing left hanging in the balance - they confirmed I have it for fireworks, just not a definite time? Little weird, but I'll roll with it.

Floridafam - I feel so bad for you guys, I want to tuck you away in my suitcase and take you with me when we go!

Yes. That's how the Grand One does it. They confirm you are booked but the time isn't set until they know exactly when the fireworks are. Are fireworks hours out for when you are going?

Have you been dealing with Julia at the GF Marina or the IPO office? I told the IPO office to cancel the Grand One for me and they didn't do it. Julia called me and had no idea we weren't going to be there that evening. I was a little frustrated. The IPO office has been so wonderful lately after a rough start.

I must be having a bad week. Everyone's sick, my MIL doesn't feel well and we're all moody. Oh well, next month is WL CL. I really need this vacation!

Julia, who does the booking for the Grand One, also said that day cruises are getting more popular. I was thinking of trying to squeeze one in to take the place of the fireworks cruise we had to cancel. She said the GF could set up a nice brunch on the boat and cruise around the lake while we listen to music and have brunch. This sounds very nice.

I don't know if the firework times are out yet, but I'll get checking on that. We are almost at the 60 day mark , I would imagine it would be out at least 60 days out. Thanks for the heads up! I'll call and see what's up.

Still, you sound like you need two vacations - one in May and another in June when I go. You could you use the extra "rest" , right? We are hitting both Lodges, AKL and WL. I'll even set you up for a spa service at the GF if need be.

Hello Lounge Lizards! Live from the Yacht Club-Concierge-
Weather is awesome-crowds are bearable in the afternoons/early evenings-about a 20-25 wait for most rides or fast pass. Concierge here at the Yacht Club is fabulous. Haven't met nicer CM's in all my times here!
The food offerings are great-Breakfast-Bagels, Toast, English muffins, cream cheese, peanut butter, jams, cereal, grits, oatmeal, Danish, Banana Bread, Fruit, melon
Lunch Snacks, Cheese corn, Goldfish, fruit, cookies, Flans, Veggies and dips
Dinner-Different meat entree each night (battered fish, fish nuggets,stone crab, yachtsman steak and potatoes, cchicken pot pie), fresh fruit, PB&J, cheese crackers, mac and cheese, garlic bread, pizza bread, 5 dips and veggies.
Evening cordials and dessert-Cupcakes, flans, cheesecake, rice crispie treats, cookies, squares, brownies, mousse.
Our room was upgraded to lagoon view-beautiful full view of lagoon, Boardwalk. Lovely and clean-mousekeeping is excellent-turndown service with choc mints are nice touch.
Will do a theme park/full trip report later-we're off to Boardwalk!

I'm still shocked that YC CL had stone crab. It has been a terrible year for Stone Crab and the price has gone up a lot.

Did they give you something to break the claws with?

I was going to order some claws from Joe's Stone Crab in Miami and have them shipped to my DH for his birthday but it was just too darn expensive.
