How many Mr. Potato Head Parts Can U fit?

It sounds like somthing I may do, would be something cool to bring back for my preschoolers. They have the patato heads (3 bigs and a baby).

Man would they stop coming up with new parts!!!;) I just have to keep buying more and more. It's a sick obsession I tell you!

Forgive my ignorance- but what are you guys talking about?? You bring a potato head and then buy Disney themed pieces? What box do you fill and how much?

You go to the store and they will give you a box to fill with Mr Potato Head parts. It's a flat cost, i think $20 for as full as you can get it (it must close on its own). Don't bother buying the potato there, that's a waste of space. Just get the parts--all kinds of disney parts for Mr & Mrs Potato Head and the Little Taters. We have some we were given as a gift awhile ago, been dying to get more :-)

Great Idea! I did buy a suitcase last year but never thought about opening it to put something inside! I will this next trip!

This sounds so neat! Never heard of this before. Can't wait to do this!

I think I've seen a list that included pictures of all of these parts at one time. Can anyone help me find the link again? It'd be nice to have some sort of idea what I'm looking for before I go. Thanks!

I can't believe I am admitting this.....but what the heck......you guys don't know me........I am the one in our family that the parts are for.

I LOVE MR POTATO HEAD! :cool1:

I attack it like it is a jigsaw puzzle. People look at me funny, but oh well!
I will spend 15-20 minutes making sure every last nook and cranny is filled.

I did the same with the MLP box and was able to get every item they had except the dresser (I think! I did manage to stuff the popcorn cart and bed in the box). I even got most of the outfits and bows in multiples of three, so DD could share with her best friends.
Lots of fun, but it does take some work.

When we bought our first box of PH pieces, the cost was around $16, now it is $20.
All of our actual potato heads came from yard sales, so they were cheap. I recommend scouting thrift stores and yard sales.
We have four actual potato heads and DD and I will dress them all up and set up little scenes around the house. Lots of fun.

We also already had a Mr. Potatohead we picked up at Walmart(well a 2 pack) so all we did as well was stuff the box with parts. Can't wait to go again and see if they have new parts and get some we didn't get before.

Thanks for the info My son will have a field day Looke out Birthday!!! He has just about every potato head and even veggie friends

Talk about freaky....I just signed on to see if there was a recent post about MPH. I, too, am addicted. Each year we get the new pieces.

I am looking forward to being there in 2 weeks to be able to get more pieces.

thanks:)

I'm so glad that you posted this question. I've been looking forward to getting our own Mr. Potato Head Parts since we recently bought a body at a yeard sale for a quarter.

Are the new parts out yet? I know they usually release new ones in the summer. I have almost all the parts and need to know what can look forward to buying in September.

I dont know how many you can fit,but put some parts in the body of the potato guy and its like a puzzle, okay, they all fit together and try to get in as many as you can,its FUN.When I got mine, the cover of the box was a little overflowed, but it was still okay with the sales clerk.Have FUN in WDW!:coffee: :laundy: :teacher: princess: pirate:  :dance3: :bride: :headache: :groom: :flower3: :cheer2:

Awesome idea! Santa brought DS ( 4months) Darth Tator.. ok so really its more for Dad but eventually he will want to play with it. I think we just might do a big accessory stuff for old Darth.

My DH bought Darth Tater for our son before he was even born:rotfl: , i'm sure I'll find him playing with it at some point too!!! We are gonna get some parts for Darth too!! Gotta Disney him up a bit:goodvibes

Just so you all know.... I came on looking for something else and now I'm EXCITED about going and getting these parts!!! Just went and told my DH that we MUST go and get these! DD was thinking we were only going to look and get a couple extras, NOT NOW!!! I'm hoping that we get a cool CM who doesn't look at me like I'm mental when I'm running around going,"WE HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!!" But something tells me that I wouldn't be the first one to do that!?!:rotfl2:
Now I just have to find that Darth Tater head to pack in the suitcase...DD will wonder why we are taking it without arms, legs, etc. If she only knew what I have planned for her!!
Did I mention, I'm in severe need of a vacation?? And DH & I haven't been at WDW (or any vacation for that matter) since 2001!!! In less than 2 weeks we will be there!!!

This is what I do and yes, I get some looks and remarks from the store workers but they are always nice about my insanity.

First, get a basket and put all the pieces you want inside. Then grab a Potato Head box and find an empty, unused floor space. Sit down and dump your pieces on the floor and do every possible configuration to fit as many pieces as possible.

Filling Potato Head boxes is quite possibly my favorite part of our Disney trips. Have fun!!!

This is the same thing I do, I will sit on the floor with all the pieces and take my time filling the box.

The name badge fits perfectly inside the suitcase.

Even if the box is full you can always stuff there some extra arms (I agree with pp).

LOL - Mr. Potato Head fanatics unite! :)

We were in Disney in June, and Once Upon a Toy had a large Mr. Potato Head you could fill up with pieces, looked like this:

And this is everything I got into it:

I hadn't seen the Dumbo rides before, so I had to get one of those also:

The Mary Poppins open umbrella (there is a closed one too) will not fit into the Mr. Potato Head container, the opening is smaller than the umbrella.

The hat wouldn't stay on mine and he was coming apart at the seams, and the CM was still helping me shove stuff into it. I don't think they are very paticular about how "closed" it is.
