How many Mr. Potato Head Parts Can U fit?

when we were there in May the CM was super helpful we filled 3 boxes...this is the 2nd time we have done this. it is 2.00 a piece if it doesn't fit in the box. example the CM said it is better to buy the MP umbrella for 2.00 then try to fit it in some way and end up wasting space. It also looks like the dumbo ride might be a good 2.00 piece. Also the Cm said the rule was that the top had to shut... so she used a stapler and put one staple in one end and said... it is shut! Awesome is what I said! :cool1:

any body know of any new pieces? Going in Aug and need to make my shopping list

Wow that sounds like sooo much fun,,can't wait to go backand try it out.
How much is it to fill?:goodvibes

there was a post from someone disfan... that had a breast cancer survivor logo with tinkerbell. I can't find the person, does anyone know how to get this logo? I'm a survivor and we are walking in the susan g komen 3 day and that would be perfect on our shirts!

I sure hope they still have these in Dec/Jan. It sounds like a grea souvenier! About the same price as a big stuffed animal but way more fun! My 19 month old loves her bunny potatoe head so I hope once she is two and we go she'll enjoy this. Anyone know if prices have gone up on this too?

I didn't read all the pages, but make sure you get: the Mr Potato Head arms-they are special and will hold all the accessories.

So after reading all of the posts I have some questions

Which store has the best selection of My little Pony??

Which store has the best selection of Mr Potato head??

Is it worth the $50 to get the large plastic container or do you get more stuff by getting 2 boxes. The boxes seem bigger and some give. The plastic container is just how it is and no give.

How long did it take you.

How many boxes would it take to get all of the current pieces.

Do the different stores offer differnt pieces or does one store have it all?

I am so excited about this.:wizard:

Only the Once Upon a Toy (DTD) has the MLP and the best selection of the MPH parts is also at that store. I've never done the plastic MHP but I can stuff a paper box with well more than it should be able to hold! LOL

Just so you all know.... I came on looking for something else and now I'm EXCITED about going and getting these parts!!! Just went and told my DH that we MUST go and get these! DD was thinking we were only going to look and get a couple extras, NOT NOW!!! I'm hoping that we get a cool CM who doesn't look at me like I'm mental when I'm running around going,"WE HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!!" But something tells me that I wouldn't be the first one to do that!?!:rotfl2:
Now I just have to find that Darth Tater head to pack in the suitcase...DD will wonder why we are taking it without arms, legs, etc. If she only knew what I have planned for her!!
Did I mention, I'm in severe need of a vacation?? And DH & I haven't been at WDW (or any vacation for that matter) since 2001!!! In less than 2 weeks we will be there!!!

The only reason you'd need your head part from home is if yo uplan to play with everything back at the resort. You can pack a box without the actual head. That's what we do when we go. One year we did being the head from home for DS to play with at the resort, but it didn't get much use there, so we leave it home now and just bring the parts home. We have a huge bin of parts at home. DS's friends think its cool how much PH stuff he has.

Have fun!

I, the adult...took 2 hours to fill two boxes..as CM's watched me..and people commented. I then realized..duh..get a plastic one and be done with it already. lol I had so much fun and sore thumbs trying to squeeze every nook and cranny of that big sucker...but it was worth it when I was done!! I even had people laughing at me..going..look ..look what shes doing..she has so many in there! lol I really enjoyed the challenge. You can fit more then the 2 boxes in there.. you can squeeze parts down into the feet and smaller areas..but believe me.. you can get them in there!!
The best part? Going home and seeing your big Potato head in the xray machine at the airport...LOL:lmao:
But if you are looking to get tons of parts..I would suggest this buy.. and then you can fill up later on other things you would like..esp new pieces and ones in various parks. I would also ask when you go to fill your head.. that you ask if there are any limited parts. The cap has to screw onto him and completely close. Whatever doesnt fit they usually charge a couple bucks..like a previous Diser posted. I think I didnt get 4 pieces in there..and the CM was great..she gave them to me free.. she said she enjoyed watching me..lol
Hope I helped.. if not..I am still laughing at my enjoyment of this whole experience..lol

We were at WDW in June and did the big potato head. We had so much fun!! My neighbor actually did all of the packing. We were sitting on the floor in a corner trying to get everything in. The store in Toon Town has some pieces, but DTD has the biggest selection.
The boxes tend to split along the seam.

Have fun!!

We just got back a couple of weeks ago, and I stuffed one box full. My best tip is to befriend the CMs working in that area. My box was ridiculously overstuffed and really didn't come close to closing. I went up to a CM and asked very nicely if it counted, and he said he'd let it slide. But then I realized a part I really wanted wasn't in there, and he told me just to find him when I squeezed it in. When I took too long and he had to change areas, he came to find me and tell me that he had told his replacement that he'd okayed my box. So nice!

But here's an even better tip...in trying to get that new piece in, I completely ripped all the tabs off the top and had to start over-I knew I'd never get it all in again. So I asked the new CM for any tips to restuff my new box, and she said, "yep, let me stuff it." She got almost everything in there, and what she didn't, she threw in for free. I think when they help stuff it they feel some sense of responsibility in the matter, and want to help. Or maybe I just got two really nice CMs!

I think the CMs in the Mr. Potato area enjoy the challenge of stuffing those boxes as much as we do! lol

We had a ball filling our box last week. Four sets of feet, around 6 or 7 hats, 3 pairs of arms, and more little pieces and accessories that I can count. I'm guessing we ended up with 40-50 pieces altogether.

Before our trip we found 6 potato bodies on FreeCycle and I was thrilled!! DTD here we come. The selection was great and we got lots of little Disney exclusive things that no one around here has seen.

My advice? Don't let your 2 year old stuff the box. He had a great time picking pieces but was determined to help pack the box too. DH had to finally distract him with the train in the back of the store so I could get all the pieces in.

I thought the same as most posters on here, buy the body at walmart and stuff the box full. We got a Stitch surf board, some glasses, ears, hands, feet (well glass slippers, and a few other few which are rather large), and a few more accesseries.

I used my tetris skill. :rotfl2:
The CMs were laughing with DH about how much was in my box. They said they had never had one so full!
