How long to apply PIN

How long do you have to apply a pin code to a reservation?
We are leaving soon (YAYYYYY!!!! ) but my mother may be coming with us now. We wont know til last minute because my grandfather is not well and she is basing her decision on how his health is and will not decide until a few days before our trip. Disney said we have up to 72 hours prior to our arrival to add her to our reservation.
Needless to say, she has received a couple pin offers (as well as FL resident offers) and I would like to try to apply her PINs, if she goes, to see if it benefits us.
Does anyone know how close to your trip can you try to apply a pin code?

You can apply it as long as the room is available with the pin. Meaning, just because you have the room reserved, doesnt mean its available with the discount pincode. You should call asap and have it applied
