We called last Thursday to add 60 points Aug UY at VWL. Our guide told us that there were 450 Aug UY points available so our wait was only as long as it took for me to give him our CC number. Already made Dec ressie for a 1br with our new points.

I was surprised that we received 2004 UY points but with an immediate bank they were sent to Aug 2005.

I called our guide two weeks ago to add on 25 points, February UY, at BCV.
I got a call on Monday that the points had come through. I think the guide was as surprised as I was; he originally said it might be a year before the points would be available.

My new guide called a few minutes ago. The last 50 of the 100 pts. just became available. I was so shocked to hear that my old guide is moving into management, I haven't absorbed that I now have all my points.
The old guide was definitly right about a March use year really being good for us.

DW and I decided to do a 50 point add on to our current BVW contracts. Right now there isn't anything in DVC's piggy bank to sell so we're on the waiting list.

So the question to folks that have done add on's for sold out resorts how many points were you looking for and how long did it take to come through and when was that? Thanks - Rick

I called my guide in December to request a 25 point add-on at BCV. She took my credit card number and put me on the wait list. The contract came in the mail yesterday. So there is hope, but you have to be patient.

We were just put on the wait list for - BCV Feb UY - 25points. - Couldn't stand the wait so we ended up buying 120 pt add on for SSR , although we still want the 25pts for BCV.

Quick question about waitlisting if you are not currently a DVC member. What are the details about how it works? I figure I'll be pessimistic and figure out what to do if ROFR hits...

I assume minimum points is 150 for a new member, and that it's the standard $89/pt (for now at least, presumably higher after June). Do you call, place a deposit, and wait? Do they charge your deposit right away? How much is the deposit, and is it ever refundable if you don't get what you are waiting for? Can you ever back out without losing the deposit?

And if you are already a DVC member, is everything still the same, except that you have the option to go as low as 25 points?

Can you waitlist for a range of UY months, or just one specific one?

And once you get your waitlist, are MF prorated to when the deed passes into your name?

I called Tuesday to get put on the waitlist for 50 BCV December use year points. I was told the waitlist was VERY LONG and I was looking at 3 to 5 years???

I asked about VWL (We have a BIG LOVE for the place, struggled between VWL and BCV when we first bought.) and was told I could add on there that very day. Thought about it...

Called back Wednesday and got 60 VWL December use year points.

I was hoping to keep things simple by having all my points at the same place, but I'm still happy.

I look at it as we can get 5 nights in a studio low season at VWL and later split our BCV points between our girls if they want them when they get older.

Plus, I got the $89 price.

It really depends on the resort. Right now it seems that the BWVs are the hot resort. As soon as they come in they go out.So it seems BWV has the longer wait time. Look at the resales almost all of the BWVs are sale pending. Those seem to be the hot ones. Why don't U try to buy a resale? U might not be able to get 75 points but 100 points are not that much more. It not really that much also for closing costs and U can get them cheeper then Disney will sell them to U.
