I agree!! I know...I was sad when I heard that you were ROFRed.
I can't help feeling some sadness when a resale buyer gets ROFR'ed...even though it..now becomes available for us "add on" people.

I don't think the month of September in in the Disney calender either??

Are you buying resale? If so, you are not restricted to any particular use year. We have two use years - Dec for OKW and Feb for BCV. So maybe you should hunt for for another. Good luck!

Well, I am about to jump in the fire with you Seneca. I called my guide and when she calls me back I am going to get on the waitlist for BCV 70 points. I think I read on this board that the new price increases won't apply to those waiting already. If so, i should go for it.... Unless I chicken out..

Yes...that's right, at least for now!

When I spoke to my guide 2 weeks ago, he had just come out of a meeting where the increases were announced:
Price increases for the General Public to be 6/5
Price increases for SSR to be 6/19
...and NO price increase for the "wait list"....but whose to say what the next DVC meeting will bring??

Because of the "supply & demand" concept...I can't see them NOT raising the price by year end. Here's hopeing those of us waiting will be "DONE" by then!!

There's a BCV, Sept,300 pt. contract on TUG. Been watching it for about a month now..still there! I've been pm-ing mwstar (waiting for 300 in Sept) ..but no response.

I'm really convinced that "September" in NOT in the DVC calendar....really!!

BTW..my guide also said that a new brochure & DVD also came out the same day...got mine in 2 days!

You are absolutely right...for us to get our wait list points...someone else will be sad. I have been sincerely supportive to those on Beca's re-sale thread. Of course...my UY hasn't shown up there ...yet.

I have had the same conflicting feelings ever since I went on the waitlist for 150 BWV points UY Aug/Sep/Oct last Friday. During that week, not one but 2 BWV contracts on Beca's ROFR thread passed ROFR with an August UY.

But I got a call from my guide this afternoon and my waitlist had come through with an Aug UY!

Although it seems like every DVC member must post (or at least lurk) on these Boards, that is clearly not the case. A non-DIS DVC wanna-be got ROFR'd so I could get my points and the DIS purchasers' of DVC at resale passed!

Obviously, having a little easier time passing ROFR is just another benefit of being a member of DIS!

My only remaining problem: how will I ever stand the wait until Monday so I can make a reservation for our 1st trip Home?

Thanks to you all for the great info you provide. It truly helped us decide that DVC was right for us.

With my membership number in my hot little hand and my deposit in Disney's bank account, I would like call to make a reservation on Monday morning, but I don't have the 800 number. On the resale thread someone said that Disney is "backed up". So...maybe the pts. have been allocated and they just haven't told anyone yet??

just received my bcv points/ waiting since june of o4.
so don't give up. By the way -no call from my guide. Just a delivery
from fed -ex.
