How Late Can We Enter on an EMH Night?

I note on the calendar that the night we arrive that the MK is open for extra magic hours. By the time we get to our hotel, register and get to our room, 1 or the 3 extra hours will be over. Would we still be admitted if we got to the park at midnight (1 hr. into EMH) if the park was to remain open until 2 am or do we have to pick up a wrist band before the regular closing time? That would be cool if we could take a few rides before bed on the night we arrive.

Assuming you are not getting the non expiring option, an extra day on a minimum 5 day pass is only about $3 so probably would still be worth it even for a few hours. I am in the same boat with our arrival day but the EMH evening hours are at EPCOT and I still haven't figured out what will be open and til when...But if we do it, we'll just add the day. It basically wouldn't cost anything...

Thanks everyone. I didn't mention that we have AP's, so it won't "cost" us anything to get in for those couple hrs.

If you go into Extra Magic Hours after midnight, the park is still on the previous business day, so when you visit a park the next day you will consume a second day off of your pass. This does mean that, say, you can go to Magic Kingdom extra magic hours past midnight and nine or so hours later in the morning go to Epcot without the hopping option on your pass.
