How I Survived 11 Days at WDW with a Disney-Resistant Husband **2/20 THE END **

More Milestones

Ever feel like life is whizzing by....we have had so much going on lately!

Yesterday was my baby's 5th Birthday! Now I can no longer claim to be raising toddlers. Sniff, sniff! And in just 2 months Declan will be starting School - where has the time gone??!!!

Then today Katie graduated from Grade 1!!!!

Stop the Clock!!!:rotfl:

Oh sometimes I totally feel in "stop the clock" mode! Life passes by so quickly. That's why we have to do our Disney trips, right?

I can totally relate!!!! We are in Muskoka at the cottage and boys have just driven (yes....they don't need me!) into town to catch a movie. I remember at the cottage we would have a great family game of scrabble and make smores around the campfire. I'm sure we'll make some smores when they get back :lovestruc This 'growing up' thing really catches you off guard.....funny they've gone to watch the 'grown-ups'
I would love for time to stand stilll!
We are going to do our annual Disney trip in the fall (Yes, they still want to)! those are times I really do cherish, such great memories and I really do want to stop the clock!
Enjoy your babies, they are still sooo young. I no longer do the pirate parties, I usually try to stay out of the way now! Keep up the parties for a few more years, :yay: Time only speeds up!

Wow! What a great tip about the height board! I am SO happy he was able to ride :cool1: I am excited to see if Abby likes it during our December trip! I also really want to try Flame Tree--your food looked great! I know what you mean, AK is a must-get-to-early park! My family does better early there too.

OH Happy Birthday Declan!!! Did you have his party yet? I can't wait to see pics!! My little one just graduated 1st too! 2nd grade is so grown up

Joining in! I like the way your trip sounds so far. It's never easy to convince an anti-Disney guy... I have one... I KNOW what it's like... :sad2: Going back to read. Where abouts in Canada are you? The Prairies? Ontario? Quebec? Maritimes?

Hey kids....be happy! It's graduation day. Smile! Can you believe the looks on all of their faces? What is up with that?:confused3: rotfl:

Hmm maybe they were sad about leaving their teacher behind? :confused3

Awesome birthday party. Glad to hear both of your little ones enjoyed EE! Hopefully you don't have to wait too long to finish your list at AK.

I am glad you all got to ride EE. That is one of my favorite rides. My husband can't ride, it makes him sick. But, my DD and I love it.

Muskoka! Have fun this weekend - would love to be there!:goodvibes

Hopefully Abby will like EE too! Both of mine sure did, even my 7 year old "chicken".

Yes, we had Declan's Party last weekend. I actually have a big post all about from last Sunday a couple pages back. ;)

And I completely know what you mean about Grade 2 seeming soooo much older than Grade 1. I am still trying to come to grips with it!:rotfl:

Hey there!!! Welcome to the Club! I am sorry to say there seem to be quite a few members.:rotfl:

We are from Atlantic Canada!:)

Yes - both kids really loved EE. They both list it within their top 3 attractions at WDW.

As for getting back to the Parks to complete that AK list (and everything else that didn't get accomplished this trip)....let's just say I am working on it. But it may be closer than I would have thought!;)

I am glad you all got to ride EE. That is one of my favorite rides. My husband can't ride, it makes him sick. But, my DD and I love it.

Funny you should mention that. After doing EE twice in a row immediately after breakfast at Tusker House, I was feeling a bit ill myself!

That made our 20 minute wait in the air conditioned Nemo theatre as we waited for the start of the show quite enjoyable!;)

Photopass Pictures

So it finally came - we just received our Photopass CD in the mail yesterday!

As previously mentioned, during our entire 11 day trip, my family would only indulge me with ONE family photopass picture in the Parks!

Even though I absolutely don't care for it at all, here it is, just to prove that we actually got at least 1 family park photo:

If I ever need another reminder why white is a terrible color choice for pictures, this photo is it! Ugh!:crazy2:

I didn't realize how completely opposite to Bright-eyed and Bushy tailed we looked that morning! I guess that terrible first night with a sick Katie really did some damage after all!:rotfl:

Also, here are our 2nd and last family Photopass pictures, which as mentioned were taken by the Beach Club's fantastic Photopass Photographer. These 2 photos were taken completely spur of the moment, in literally the 90 seconds Chris gave the guy to work with.

(While he just took 2 photos, you will see that I got kinda crazy with all of my edits/embellishments from the Photopass site).

Too bad it was soooo bright out, and we were all squinting with the sun in our eyes.

Given the limitations the photographer was under, I think he did a pretty good job. I would love to see what he could do in a dedicated 1/2 hour session with willing and eager subjects who actually planned out their wardrobe in advance!;)

I certainly would not hestitate to book this guy in future for an official Photopass Portrait Session!

:woohoo: for the Photopass CD arrival. You all do look a bit tired in the MK picture, but after the night you had that isn't too suprising. Love the Beach Club photos. We actually did a Photopass shoot there last summer. It turned out really well though we are squinting in all of the pictures. That sun is deadly!

Hmmmm....I wonder if you had our BC Photographer. Do you remember what he looked like? Ours had short sandy hair, late 30's/early 40's, tall, fit, and a really great, enthusiastic personality.

I like the pictures. And the outfits do sorta look coordinated - especially the blue. I like how Katie is "winking" in the middle picture.

Ours was a younger kid. I really don't remember exactly what he looked like, but he was definitely in his 20's. He was nice enough, but not super enthusiastic, so I'm sure it's not the same guy.

Sorry your hubby wouldn't pose for more pictures.:sad2: Our photopass pictures are priceless to me!!:) I have them framed and hung all over my house. We don't get the opportunity for too many pictures with all 5 of us in it. One of us always seems to be taking the picture.:confused3

Sorry that you weren't able to get more photopass pics, but glad to see that you were able to get a few as a family!!! :goodvibes I really like the 2nd BC pic! :thumbsup2

Your photopass photo(s) are great! I love the one at the BC - you all look like you're having a fantastic time.

That sounds like the BC photographer I spoke to. I'm still kicking myself that we didn't make it back there as a family to take a picture with him; and now that I've seen your shots - even more so. :headache:

I had to laugh out loud when I saw your Magic Kingdom pic, just because it seems that the look on your husband's face summed up your intro completely when you explained that he has no love for Disney, LOL! The look on his face completely says "Get me the heck outta here".

On a completely different note, you look lovely in your Beach Club pics! Beautiful family!
