How far in advance should I make reservations?

It's my first trip there with my fam and we arrive June 6th! We have the basic DDP and I haven't made any dining reservations yet but I'm not planning any character dinners for us. Do I need to make reservations now for regular table service dinners? Also can I do the table service option at lunchtime and then the counter at dinner time? I have my Passporter's planner but I need a little clarification...:flower3:

Let's put it this way - I already have all my ADR's for my mid-July trip.

If you can, start coming up with some of your TS preferences and then get on the phone. You might have trouble getting Le Cellier if you wanted it. Also, how large is your party? I called at the 180 day mark to book ADR's for my full stay. On one of the days we will have family in for a visit, so there will be 8 of us. Cape May Cafe was already out of large tables for dinner that night, so we had to book two tables of 4.

All the rest of the ADR's are for 5 of us, except the last two days where it's just DH and I. I know it's crazy to think so far ahead about where you're going to eat, but I know that I had specific restaurants in mind and had specific days I wanted them, so I wasn't going to take any chances.

Good luck!

Truthfully, I would make them asap...your 180 days was December. I am not sure where you are planning on eating, but better to be safe than sorry! I am calling for our Sept reservations on the 180th day and I know I am not the only one.
You can use your TS & CS for whichever meal you want. :thumbsup2

Yes, you need to make your reservations now. You are going during the summmer and the parks and the restaurants will be crowded. As for table service and counter service, you can use either one whenever you want. We have used our TS for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Super! Thanks for the advice! I decided where and when last night and was able to make the reservations today. Yay! :rotfl:
