According to Yahoo maps we're 1746.6 miles from Epcot.

And that last .6 is always the longest too! LOL LOL

We are only 150 miles away from our home resort BCV. We go as often as we can and have always stayed on property which is why we joined DVC this past July. Its only about 2 1/2 hours by car. We feel very lucky to live this close to Disney.

We live about 1250 miles away, outside Chicago.

Another DVC member from England.

4400 miles getting to BWV whice seem to go real quick.
A bummer on the way home though:D

We drive from Indiana and it's fine. One long day (about 10 hours with stops) and one short. We go to Macon GA and stay in a nice little Best Western for $49. Then the next day we are there by check-in time.

Driving means we save tons on airfare and we have a minivan at our disposal when we get there. I pack lots of snacks and then we hit the WinnDixie upon arrival. We save enough this way that some years we can visit Mickey twice!:D Also, I confess, I am afraid to fly... even before 9/11, I HATED planes and all the chaos involved with airports. The only things that really stinks is the drive back home, especially in March when it gets colder and grayer as we head north... too depressing! ALl that helps is reading my DVC book on the way!

According to Mapquest, door to door 993.85. We always fly and like DebbieB we get 834 frequent flyer miles from PIT to MCO. We fly because when I'm going to WDW I want to get there as quickly as I can so I don't waste one minute of the time I get to spend at my favorite place in the world!!! Travel time 2 hours 15 minutes as opposed to a day or day and a half each way! We go at least twice a year. Sure would be nice to live closer and go more often...need more points!;)

We live in SE Massachusetts and just got back from our 1,350 mile yearly pilgrimage to the mouse. ....can't wait to do it again!

Mapquest says 2893.52 miles. I have driven this twice.. My first trip to WDW when I was 18, stupid and broke and again 10 years ago with a new van that made into a bed with tv/vcr and 2 kids 9 and 10 at the time and money that time... Thought it would be fun to stop all along the way.. We went to Disneyland, Las Vagas, the Grand Canyon, Tombstone, Carlsbad Caverns, The Alamo, Riverwalk, Houston Space Center, New Orleans, and last but not least WDW...... I had a great time, but my kids would disagree.... They will only fly now.....

I bumped this because I think the question is real good and maybe with new members, we could get some new responses.

About 1200 miles to Orlando, a little bit more to Vero Beach. We usually drive 2 11 hour days-it gets really long but we get excited when we hit the Florida state line.

Lived about 2 hrs from Florida when we lived in Holiday but we moved back to Michigan.

We will keep driving to WDW/VB because we always have so much fun when we get there.

I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE HIGH SPEED TRAIN SERVICE ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD GOING TO FLORIDA-I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD USE IT-MAYBE SOMEDAY

The best part of moving to Tallahassee, Florida from Milwaukee, is that now we are only 4 hours from home. We can leave our driveway at 5 a.m. and be at the parks when they open. Did just that a few weeks ago. Plus those resident discounts:bounce:

We live all the way over in England so no weekends or short trips for us to WDW but we have been to Disneyland Paris for a few days and even had a day trip.:)

Hi, according to Yahoo it is 1270 miles from here to Celebration, which I used as the destination city. We have never driven it though - there are good flights from both Lansing and Flint - direct flights now from Flint for around $200! That has got to beat driving 20+ hours!

DR

We live in near Inverness, in the far north of Scotland. We only get a single visit to WDW because the flight costs and it takes a day to travel to a airport and a 9 hour flight but we always manage 14 days at "home" for 280 points.

Hi there D-R.

Unfortunately we always have to drive because we usually go to Florida for a triathlon and my husband has to take his bike, which he doesn't want to take on a plane.

You have a great website-I don't know if it's open to anyone but I clicked on the link and it looks like you have had a lot of fun at WDW over the years!!!

I guess someday we will start flying-it would be nice to be there the same day and sit out by a pool instead of driving.

Thanks for the info on the flights :bounce: :bounce:
