How Far Away Do Your Parent(s) Live?

My parents live about 15 minutes away or so.

Both my parents and dmil live about 10 min away. My dm neighbor put her house up for sale a few months after I bought mine. If I had known, I would of waited so I could be right next to her.

My mother lives 7 miles in one direction and my FIL lives 7 miles in the other direction.

Both of our mothers are over 350 miles away on the Gulf coast. Our fathers have all passed away. Fortunately we both have siblings who live close enough to check on the moms. DH's mom,88, lives in an assisted living facility, which is great because we know there is someone looking in on her. My mom,74, lives in her own home, but is talking about moving to a retirement community.

My mom & dad and brother and niece and nephews live north of Atlanta, just over 5 hours away.

DH's parents, sister and family, and grandmother all live in Dayton, OH, which is a 9 hour drive for us.

My parents live 10 minutes from us and only 1 km from our business.

FIL lives in Thompson Manitoba and from here that is over 47 hours drive. NEVER!

One set are a two hour plane ride away (something like 900 miles I think) and my birth mother is a 6 hour plane trip and a two hour car ride on top of that - - therefor very far and I would like to keep it that way for now thankyouverymuch.......

We do stop on route, often stopping a couple of times. We always have a very leisurely lunch on route too, take a look at the motorway service shops, theres no rush. Sometimes there are traffic delays, vehicles breaking down/accidents.

4 hours to drive 130 miles?!?! I realize you are in the UK but WOW! That's 32.5 miles per hour.

My parents are 650 miles (about 13 hours here in the US or 20 hours at your rate) and DH's parents are 40 miles (about 45 minutes) away.

My parents are about forty five minutes away. Inlaws are about two minutes.
