How Far Away Do Your Parent(s) Live?

My parents live about 15 minutes away. In-laws used to live about 20 minutes away, but they've moved to where they are now about 1.5 hours away.

My mom lives about 10 minutes from our house. My DHs mom and stepdad live about 1 1/2 away and his dad and stepmother live about 8 hours away.

My parents live 50 miles away and my MIL about 30. They are both close enough to go over on Sunday.

Mine are far away in heaven, but fortunately I still feel them right here with me much of the time.

When they were alive my DH and I lived in NYC, Europe and Mexico but eventually made our home within 40 miles of where they lived. DH's parents are also gone, but they lived about 350 miles away.

Each set is about 25 minutes away from us, a bit in opposite directions. They don't live near each other. To drive from my parents to his parents is 25 minutes.

My parents live about a half-hour drive away. It's a nice distance because we can visit often.

DF's mom and her BF live about a half-hour away as well. We hardly ever see them or hear from them unless FMIL needs DF to do something for her They have yet to even visit us at our new apartment.

My parents are a five minute walk away from my new house. We live a 1/2 hour drive away from my in-laws

We do stop on route, often stopping a couple of times. We always have a very leisurely lunch on route too, take a look at the motorway service shops, theres no rush. Sometimes there are traffic delays, vehicles breaking down/accidents.

Actually, no, my calculation is NOT incorrect. You are averaging 32.5 mph if it takes you 4 hours to drive 130 miles.

Apparently you're not in a big hurry to get to your parent's house.

Thank goodness all of our parents live over 450 miles away. I am thrilled and hope to keep it that way.

I know what speed we drive, not you, and it sure ain't 32.5 mph.
