How far a walk to the Hess Express?

I read somewhere about a Hess Express near DTD and was wondering
#1) if it is still there
#2) if it is gas only or do they sell snacks/beer/wine/bottled water
#3) if it is safe to walk to from DTD & how far?
We won't have a car. Thanks!

2. Definitely snacks; probably the others, but I'm not sure.
3. Absolutely! It's right across the street from the PI bus stops, with a signal-protected crosswalk. Less than a 5-minute walk from the former McDonald's, WOD, or Planet Hollywood.

It's a large convenience store with a big selection of snacks/drinks. It is directly opposite the "Planet Hollywood" entrance to DD. You need to cross 7 lanes of traffic to reach it from the DD parking lot, but there is a crosswalk at the light.

Depending on what you are doing, you might find it easier to visit the Hess over by the Boardwalk. It is on a side road, so it isn't so difficult to walk to, and it might be closer to the Boardwalk bus stop than the DD location is to the DD bus stop.

We use this Hess every year to buy beer, water & snacks. We fly & we have the dining plan so we don't need much. DH & DS get to carry all the heavy stuff.

Thanks We were thinking about going to Planet Hollywood for lunch our arrival day so now I know to bring a backpack that rolls to lug our beer in it for the bus back to the resort

Just an FYI, there is a Cast Member parking lot in behind that Hess station, so there are folks using that crosswalk all the time.

I know that station very well. We always stop there and gas up on the way out of wdw. Then the year we went to Madiera Beach and no disney, dh stopped in to get gas and he wouldn't even stop at dtd. I pouted all the way to south carolina.

Thanks everyone. The map was so helpful It looks like a very easy walk. Now the only concern will be the WDW bus travel over to DTD. I asked about this in another thread & it sounds dreadfully slow
