Alrighty- So we are getting close to the 90 day mark and we are trying to put an itinerary together so we can make ps's.

.....It's an early Dec. trip. We will be offsite w/ a car, close to DD. w/4 kids ages 2,6,13,15. We will have ph's.

I have a few ?s about touring.

How do you tour the parks? We won't have EMH so we will be avoiding those parks on those days. Should we park hop or stay in the same parks for each day? Do we need midday breaks or is it a waste since the parks hours are shorter? We have 5 days to tour and we won't be going anywhere but DW.

Last year, I made a lot of PS's and actually ended up cancelling all but 2 of them. I kept the one's that I had for Epcot because one was a CP package and the other was Rose & Crown. Otherwise, I cancelled the others. I didn't find that we felt that we waited too long to eat anywhere else that we ended up at, including 50's Prime Time. If you are going in the weeks before the week of Christmas, you will most likely find the same to be true.

I do encourage you to consider doing MVMCP at least once. We did it on the Sunday that we arrived and again on the last night that it was offered. We preferred the Sunday event because it was not crowded and we got to enjoy the MK rides so much that night.

As for the parks, you do them on the non-EE days and you will most likely be fine. Remember that on any day that nears closer to Christmas week, that Epcot will always absorb the crowds best because of it's size.

I would post more, but I am sure that others have more to add too. Have fun planning! Maggie

We went to WDW in early December in 2001. It's a great time to go! We had 5-day PH's and spent one day in each park, then used the last day to revisit MK and Epcot. The best thing about going at this time is that crowds are not a factor so you don't need to plan as carefully as you would if you were going at a busy time (unless of course you just want to :) ) We never needed to use fast pass and most of the time it wasn't even operating since the line wait times were so short!

We did not take mid-day breaks, but only you can decide what works best for your family. At the time, my kids were 4 and 7 and neither needed naps. Since the parks closed early, we were able to get them to bed early so they were well rested for the next day. You might want to schedule a break for naps, etc. however if you decide to go to MVMCP since that would make a late night.

The only PS I would definitely recommend making is CRT. We had made some PS's but found the restaurants weren't really full. We were also able to walk in just about any restaurant we wanted without PS.

Have a great trip!
