I am losing the battle with DD9s Webkinz and can't seem to keep these and her other stuffed animals from ending up in a pile on her bedroom floor. All total she has about 20 animals that she does actually play with on a regular basis.

We have tried the hammocks and the plastic chains with clips but don't like those. Looking for ideas on how to organize these stuffed animals!

How about putting a shelf up and set them on there. Even a bookshelf would probably work, if you dont want to hang shelves up on her walls.

I have always used the hammocks and they work great.

We just have a wicker basket in each kid's room for their animals, and they all must be put away every night. DS's basket was so full that I banished it to his closet, so you dont even see the animals when they are not getting played with.

My personal preference for organizing stuffed animals is to send them all to the dump, lol.

Needless to say, I have no advice. Good luck!

Hi, I've seen something I want to get for my kids. It's the Boon Stuffed Animal Bag. It looks like a bean bag chair and you fill it with the critters! It's a bit pricey but seems like a great idea.

When my dd actually was actually pulling them out and playing with them daily, I kept them in those dollar store laundry baskets. Now, some are on a shelf and others have been donated.

My DH built shelves for my oldest DD. They run the length of the wall on 2 sides. They are high up on the wall, about 18 inches from the top and they hold tons of animals. DH did a great job. They are made of wood and he stained them and put a decorative cut on the end. They arent easy to access- DD has to get on her bed to reach them, but that helps to keep them up there.

over the door shoe organizer for her favorites that she uses regularly...

we do that with DD's barbies as well (can see all the teeny pieces through the clear pockets)

I got DD a nice POP-UP hamper type thing at Limited Too a few years ago. It holds a LOT. It has about a dozen Build-A-Bears crammed into it.

DD has her's in an over the door shoe type organizer too.:thumbsup2 They each have a "buddy" and sleep two to a cubby.:lovestruc

Big plastic storage bin in the closet for the 'second string' animals and a big plastic laundry basket in her room for the ones she plays with all the time.

I put most of my dd's stuffed animals on a bookshelf like this:

The ones that she plays with more often sit in a bin next to her dresser.

Yep, that's what we do too. Then I can zip it up & it's all contained. However, she has enough some also live in a pop up storage box. They sell such cute decorated boxes & hampers that hers just sit in the corner of her room.

We have an old fashioned wicker type laundry basket that we keep most of them in. We do have toys upstairs in the living room and downstairs in the family room so a few do migrate south ;) on ocassion. DD#2 also has tons around her bed. We recently took the rail off her crib turning it into a toddler sized daybed and all 3 sides that still have a rail are lined with stuffed animals. She adjusts them just so each night before going to bed and she gets upset if I accidently cover them with a blanket when I'm covering her :rotfl2: But those she mostly leaves in her bed. The ones that are planed with on a pretty regular basis are the ones that live in the laundry basket. It works pretty well because both DD's like to take one with them on car trips so this way they know exactly where to look as we are making our mad dash out the door in the morning (what can I say we are always running late).

what a good idea! i hadn't thought of that! We use the big rubbermaid tubs that my 7 year old keeps in her closet. I think I may have to switch over to the shoe thing.

DD is 4 and plays with her stuffed animals more than any other toys. She has a ton. We have a Little Tykes bench/toy box at the foot of her bed that is full to overflowing...we just leave the top open. Best part is it looks brand new, is a really pretty offwhite and pink with swirls on it, and I got it at the consignment store for $18!

I give them away, by the bagfull.....but they keep coming back (ok, not the same ones, but new ones constantly seem to appear! I don't know where they come from, or how in the heck we get so many....
The kids don't play with them, and they don't notice when they are gone (they have a few favorites that I obviously don't mess with, and they do keep really good track of their webkins, but other than that they don't seem to care) I just took a garbage bag to goodwill yesterday. They have a couple tucked away with their baby things, and a couple favorites in their room, the rest make their way to the storage room, where if they are not 'missed' or asked after, they then head on out the door to find a new home.

DD5 also has an issue with too many stuffed animals. If they aren't one of her favorites, off to the neighbors dog or to Good will they go !!
The favorites and Webkinz go into a HUGE basket in the corner of her room.
She knows when I tell her to pick up her stuffed animals, them and only them go into the basket.

When my brother and I were little, my mom got 2 of the rolls/tubes that carpets comes on. She had then cut so that they would stand the height of the room (floor to ceiling). Then she added those screws with hooks on the ends in a zig-zag pattern. Each stuffed animal had a ribbon around it's neck that allowed the stuffed animal to be hung on the pole. Mine was behind my closet door. That way I wouldn't run into it, but I could get to all my animals. My mom is so creative.
