Hiya,

I'm visiting the world in August and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on keeping your hair well conditioned while your there. With living in England, my hair really isnt used to the Florida temperatures and it seems to suffer every year when we visit but Im determined not to let that happen this time!

Ive tried leave in conditioners and they dont seem to work, just wondering what you guys use? :Pinkbounc

I just wash it with my normal shampoo which is a shampoo/conditoner combination and use my normal hair spray. If I wear a hat I get terrible "Hat Hair", but a hat is necessary in the hotter months to keep the sun off your head. My answer I guess is nothing special, I just do my regular hair routine.... :sunny:

I use Tigi's Dumb Blonde Shampoo and Reconstructing Conditioner. I have highlights and I use a hair dryer and a flat iron, and my hair is still soft AND I live in Florida! It also doesn't weigh down my hair.

You should be able to buy Tigi products in a salon, since I think they sell in the UK.

Hope that helps!

Thankyou both for your replies, they were really helpful. People have recommended Tigi products to me in the past but Ive never got round to buying them. I think I might give them a go this year. I was also thinking about having my hair braided while I was there to keep it tied away with a cap on.

I'll definitely try some tigi products though!

Thanks :Pinkbounc

this may sound icky, but as a lifetime native and victim of frizz... i must tell you... don't shampoo every day. condition every day and shampoo only when you get sweaty. Put your hair in pigtails and pop on a hat. you need a hat anyway, especially if you wear glasses.. you can't see anything with rain spots on your specs and a hat keeps them clear. get one you can afix to your belt loop to keep your hands free in the dark rides.

I also use Tigi shampoo/conditioner for my highlighted hair. Good stuff! I also like to use a deep conditioner a few times while on vacation. I have to wash my hair every day, usually twice in WDW so I use conditioning products so my hair stays healthy.
Also-if you choose not to wear a hat at all, I recommend getting hair and scalp sunscreen spray-there are a few brands out now and all are good and dont make your hair greasy or anything.
