How Do You Decide Your Priority?

When booking LLMP and SP do you book based on the order of your stay or do you jump to the harder ones to get? In other words if your stay was November 1-4 would you book LLMP and SP in order 1, 2, 3, 4? Or would you jump days to get to a particular ride that is hard to get?

I just went in order by the day because good times are more likely to be gone closer to the beginning of your trip. We have four park days and I had no issue getting earlier times for our later park days. I’m not overly pleased with our time for our first day, but it will be okay. We still got pretty much what we wanted.

You can strategically schedule your park days so that if there is a ride that you think the LLMP will be hard to get (e.g. Slinky Dog), then schedule that park day for late in your trip, when you will have an easier time getting that one.

I scheduled park days back when I make dinning reservations and based on other factors. So that's not an option.

I've done both of these and I can't say one is necessarily a better method than the other.

I generally feel like starting from our first day is my preferred way of doing it though as it's just easier for me mentally, if that makes sense. If a ride we want isn't available on day 1, 2, etc. then I'll just look later on in the trip and we just sort of adjust our plans/plan on going to that park again if the ride is THAT big of a priority for us.

I do my best to really not overthink it and it helps that I usually have an idea of what parks we want to visit on what day beforehand, but am always open to flexibility if the options are more scarce.

I would either do the ones that are the most difficult to get first, or I would start at the end of my trip and work backwards. It’s often easier to book them the farther out from check in day you are looking. I think it depends on whether you would be okay if you had to miss a popular ride or if not getting the popular ride would put a huge damper on the trip.

I do a mix. I lay out each day, check the night before on thrill data to see what return times on my days are looking like and then I prioritize the order of days for booking by what looks hardest to get. Usually there are a couple days I need to book out of order and the rest I'll do in order of the trip.

Hardest park to get, so if I were booking at all 4 parks; I'd book Dhs,MK, Epcot, AK in that order.

Everyone has a slightly different method. I book them in order, starting with the earliest date first, because that day has already had bookings from guests who arrive before I do.

OP, if you can split up the task with someone, that's very helpful. My sister (who's my travel companion) and I split up the LLMP/SP duties by day, so we're able to attack it together. For a 4-day trip, it'd be super helpful to have this kind of help. If possible.

ETA: And . . . have your credit card and Disney password handy. Every once in a while even though I have a cc on file with Disney and I'm already logged into DME, they will ask for one or the other or sometimes both when I go to pay for the LLs.

I made my selections this morning. Went with the simplest method day 1, day 2, etc in order. Got everything we wanted including Slinky, Guardians and RoR.
