How do you cope with waiting for your Disney vacation? We are staying at POR for Christmas. That is almost 5 months away and I am driving my family crazy with my excitement. We changed resorts from deluxe to moderate, and I couldn't wait to get on the computer to research and find out which was the best resort for us. I pulled the pros and cons of all the resorts. DH and DD didn't really care, said it was my decision since it was MY Christmas present, and I got mad! No one else wanted to talk Disney!!! I won't even go into decisions on ADRs. I've decided not to even talk lately, because everything that comes out of my mouth is Disney. I can't seem to shut up about WDW. Am I crazy? Does anyone else go crazy waiting for their trip? :confused3

no, i don't go crazy waiting to go to disney,, i am excited once i get there but until that time arives its just a vacation,, maybe you need a hobby to get your mind off of the trip.

I now exactly how you feel... I booked our trip back in Feb... and now it is here ... Leaving in 4 days :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
no one in my family has been excited at all.. now DS10 is doing a count down... but I have been counting down since Feb... Oh and as for the adr's
dont even get me started.. I decided everything ... So they have all been told.. no one helped make the decisions.. so when we are there.. no one can have a opinion on the resturants we are eating at.... :rotfl: :rotfl:
As for the lack of excitement.. the only thing I can figure is that none of them have ever been there... so they just dont know how awesome it really is...

I have got to be the luckiest person on earth! While although my DH does not show his excitment like I do with large spontaneous grins and hand clapping, he loves to "talk Disney to me!" We play tag games like where are we going to eat, what rides are we going on, what other things are we going to do while there, what else should Disney have that they don't already. As soon as the idea and planning starts for our next trip, Disney is constantly in our conversations. Thanks to the big guy for my DH! He is the only one I can talk Disney with. No one else I know is afflicted with this disease. My boss even thinks I'm nuts.
I can't get enough of pluto: !

we "just keep planning, just keep planning "

Hardly a day goes by, why just last night we were discussing Everest and Splash Mountain and ToT! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc we have had a very ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: rough summer so looking forward to our annual winter vacation to the world is just a natural thing for our family!

No, you are not crazy!! I do this too! Lucky for me, my dh and all of my kids are disney fanatics too! We love to plan our trip and talk about what we are going to do!

I don't think you are crazy either. I am right there with you :lmao: .
My problem is when the trip is over and I am back home, I seem to really experience some sort of Post Vacation Blues! I think the only cure for that is to plan another trip and/or read the DIS everyday. Unfortunately, my bank account doesn't match my desire:guilty: to visit WDW as often as I would like.
Like some of the previous posters - my family (and a few friends) are Disney fanatics. I find the planning is very fun and exciting. It seems there is always something new to discover or plan with Disney.

:disrocks: That is why I love the DIS!

We drove everyone crazy while we waited for our last trip...we booked it almost a year out and I talked about it for an entire year. I say we, but at that time it was mostly me. DH did not participate in the planning of that trip. What was worse than the wait was the coming home part...ouch!!

Now for this trip, we are a little saner about it, mostly because we booked the trip six weeks out!! We just got back six months ago, and had to go again. With only six weeks to start with, the wait has been much more tolerable. :rotfl:

Don't even think you're the only one who's nuts about this particular subject, dearie!!
We are all very excited, but some don't really.. express it, that's all.
I am making a Disney Mickey Head Paint Chip countdown on my door!
My mom I think will be more excited when we get there, and my dad has NEVER been to any Disney park, so he's really excited, but he is SO hiding it.
Can you tell who's obsessed?
:)

I get the Post Vacation Blues too!!!! Actually, now I'm am slowing down my planning even though we are leaving next week! I don't want it to be over!!!!! Does that make any sense?!?! :confused3

I am going just as crazy as you...I think it's completely normal despite what some people on this thread may think! :thumbsup2 I have a countdown on my fridge and everyday I look thru the tour books for the upteenth time. I know everything inside and out already but it makes it seem more real. I'm sure I will be sad to come home too...I will start a new job two days after we get back that I am not that excited about. The real world stinks! DFiancee is excited but he contains himself almost too well. And yes, don't get me started on ADR's either..I have been back and forth on those dozens of times. I had DF sit down and look at menus so I know he is ok with everything. I wish I had more people to talk to about how crazy DisneyWorld planning has made me!!
