How do EMM and EMH impact parks?

We have always planned our park days based on the parks without EMH. Now that there are so many early and late days, I was wondering how they truly impact the crowds at the parks. Would love any input- should we avoid parks with EMM and EMH? Does EMM impact the parks significantly? Or EMH? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

To my knowledge EMM has no impact on crowds. EMH has a substantial impact on crowds but if you are just going for the morning the low crowd early hour may make it worth it.

If you avoid parks with EMM AND EMH....what parks would you be going to? Not being snippy, just a thought. MK has EMM on Sunday and Tuesday and their EMH AM is on Friday. DHS has EMM on Monday and Wednesday and their AM EMH is Sunday. AK doesn't have an EMM, but their EMH AM is Sat and Mon. And finally EPCOT's AM EMH is Thursday.

I don't avoid parks with AM EMH, I go. That's the best time to get several rides in before your FP times kick in. I've never been, but read here to where EMM has no impact on crowds. But if you look at my data, if you avoid parks with EMH and EMM, it'd be fairly hard to plan out your park visits. Just plan your days, book your FPs and have a GREAT time. Depending on when you're going, make sure you're out of the park by 1 as that's the heat of the day and it's pretty icky. I live in FL. I'm used to it, but know how to combat it when necessary. Have fun planning!

The parks with the paid events are not that bad. There are so few people there that when the park open most will be moving on to other things.

We 100% plan our visits around NOT going to park with EMH that morning. Those park are significantly more crowded than parks without as resort guest without view the EMH parks as better values. And with the exception of the upcoming temporary opening times for SGE there are always at least two parks WITHOUT EMH each day. If you have park hopper definitely take advantage of the EMH then hop on over to another non-EMH park. If you don't have hopper try your best to stay away from parks with EMH that day to avoid crowds.

EMM, which is a paid event, wont have any significant affect on crowds and doesn't need to be considered in your planning.

So we are planning to go first week of October. We are going with little kids and want to do maybe 2-3 hours in the morning go back to resort for naps and the some pool time and back to the park in the evening. With Star Wars it’s going to be crowded so how should we plan to enjoy the parks? Any strategies? Staying in disney property we will get EMH right? Should we go before the parks open in the morning and then stay until noon and head back and the go back around 6 pm etc?

All bets and normal strategies are off from 8-29 to 11-2 when ALL OF THE PARKS have EMH every day(except Epcot)!!! So just go where you want to. If there are parties like MNSSHP then those days are typically much quieter for MK, so thats an MK strategy that can still be used. Expect DHS to be code red everyday during that time so just avoid weekends and holidays if possible(always a good strategy anytime).

This is our first trip so we want an pleasant experience specially with little kids. Would it be a good idea to push out or vacation into November or even next year feb 2020 to avoid the SW rush?

The problem with that is the unknown. How long will SGE affect crowds? And November and December are fairly busy times anyway. Add the new opening of SGE and I expect the Holidays to be really crowded.

You decided to not go in June?
