My guess is that you will be scrubbing away the first day.3kidz4dis said:Yes, I am very obsessive. Wish I wasn't but I am. Since this is our first time, how clean are the villas? For those of you out there like me, will I be scrubbing away our first day?

Not because the place is unclean, but because of your self-description. You'll be thinking about the hundreds of people who have stayed in that room...some sick, some with poor potty skills (incl. adults), some with the attitude that they paid big bucks so they can treat the villa any way they like. As this runs through your mind, you'll be reaching for every cleaning tool and substance you can find!
We've had several check-in experiences and never found anything that we considered offensive as far as a clean room. Polls on this site have indicated that the vast majority of stays include a clean room on check in. But there have been reported incidences of poor room cleaning.
If I ran into that, I'd be more inclined to report it to the front desk or housekeeping than to start scrubbing. Let them clean it up!
One last point. Last we checked, WDW is still in Florida. That means that there is a significant bug population (both flying and crawling) that Disney is constantly on red alert against. I think they do a great job considering the environment. The other thing is that Florida is wet and humid. Mold pops up very easily and again we've been fine with their efforts to keep it cleaned up.
If I were you, I'd give in to the obsession and go ahead and scrub. At least then it won't be on your mind the entire trip and you'll get to enjoy the rest of your vacation (or at least until you have to use one of the public restrooms!).
Have a great trip, and rest assured that you really shouldn't have to be cleaning (scrubbing) on your vacation!
