And how many cars can you actually fit in it?

Ours is a three-car garage, but its actual contents are one part car, one part pure junk, and one part non-junk other (lawn care equipment, tools, sports equipment, etc.).

What's in your garage?

we have 2-2 car garages......one holds one car, freezer, refrigerator and stored stuff
the other is DH's work shop, full of tools and wood

6 car garage (3 car wide, double deep). And, oversized at that. In the winter, we store our very large pontoon boat, in the center bay, and we can still put our truck, and 3 cars in the garage. In the summer, it's just the cars, and there's plenty of room. We do not "store" things in the garage other than things that belong in a garage, like the boat, the snowblower, the kayak, paddle board, windsurfing gear, lawnmower, etc. We have plenty of space for all that stuff, plus the boat and cars in the winter.

Not big enough. Our previous house had a 3 car garage that was perfect. We could fit our cars in two bays and store stuff in our third bay. We recently downsized and our two car garage isn't big enough to fit our cars in on a daily basis even without storing stuff in it. We keep the main area empty so we can pull our cars in when there's an emergency, but We have trouble getting our cars in and us out of them when they're both in the garage. We ended up buying a backyard shed for storage because our attic isn't usable either.

We have a 3 car garage, plus a one car garage, plus a 2.5 car garage. It is hard to explain but it works with the layout of our house. The 3 car garage holds 2 cars. It will hold 3 once my daughter gets her license. The 2.5 car garage holds 2 cars. The one car garage is just for bikes, Christmas decorations, lawn equipment, the golf cart, etc.

2 car garage, 20 x 20, 400 square feet. And there ALWAYS have been 2 cars in that garage, no junk. It could be bigger, but it gets the job done.
My 65 Mustang and my wife's 2000 Mercury Mountaineer get parked there.

1 car garage. My Sienna fits in it, but barely. The nose has to be up against the wall and there is about 5 inches behind the back bumper when we close the garage door. It is also narrow enough that I can't get out the driver's side door, I have to climb across and use the passenger door, and there is more room on that side.

Darned old house!

We have a 2.5 car garage and a 1 car carriage garage . The 2.5 car holds my husband's BMW and daughter's VW, plus bikes, toys, etc. The 1 car garage holds my Tesla, because that's where the charging cable was easiest to install.

1 car - it fits my car, plus our washer/dryer, spare fridge, and tools. No junk, and it's all organized.

We have an old house. The house we owned prior to this one had no garage at all (we really missed having one).

We have an oversized (22' x 28') 2-car garage. We keep 2 cars in the garage. The "extra" space is used for garbage cans, recycling bins, extra refrigerator (extra freezer is in the laundry room), sporting equipment, grill (we keep it indoors when not using it), snow pants, boots, etc. We also move the snowblower in there during the winter. We store the snowblower (spring-fall), lawn equipment and other misc. things in a shed.

I guess our garage probably has about 150 actual spaces, but they double and sometimes triple park some of them since they valet so I would guess they probably park about 300 cars. Only one of them is ours.

We live in a condo and have a shared underground parkade. Our "spot" is 2-cars wide and an 8' space in front of them for storage but we're not really supposed to put anything unsightly there.

zero. Used to have one but did a conversion and had it made into a 24X12 bedroom for my daughter.

Three car garage. No vehicles in it. There’s a pool table, standing freezer, spare refrigerator, tools, ongoing projects, swamp cooler, desk (garage doubles as DH’s Man Cave) and lots and lots of crap. One of the first things we checked was that HOA allowed parking in the driveway and on the street. Our weather is mostly mild and we’ve always used garages as storage. Quite a few people here convert them to family rooms or spare bedrooms.

Three car with three cars, snow blower, push mower, work bench, storage, trash can, recycling can. DH and I each had one car and then he bought another one two months ago. I have a Highlander. He has a Solara convertible (his baby) and a new RAV-4. All three fit, especially now since our riding lawn mower died/blew up. We have a big house, as do all our neighbors, but it's amazing how many use it to store crap when they all have large basements too. We've had a garage in two separate houses in the last 24 years and we've always parked our cars in them. After all, isn't that what garages are for?

Two car garage one bay is double depth. Thanks to this weekend’s efforts I can finally say for the first time since moving in 4 years ago I can fit a second car in it!!!!

It’s a 2 car garage. It will hold a mid sized suv and a minivan. It was a pretty tight fit. I’ve since replaced the minivan with a mid sized sedan and it has made it a little bit easier to walk around the vehicles.
