Is it the same show?

As far as I know the show is still the same, only reason I say that is because a couple sitting next to us in April said that they saw the exact same show several years ago. But everyone seemed to loved it.

Yea, as far as I can recall, it's pretty much the same show it's always been. There might be little tweaks here and there, but overall it's still the same (and as great) as it ever was!

Its been called "one of the longest running broadway type shows in the country".....if they changed it, that would end the run.

it is the same show. if you like cute and corny, you will love it. If not, enjoy the beer and wine, you will love it. It's a win win show. ENJOY

Its a great family show.......

Unfortunately..... most families can not afford it......at it's present pricing.....


I think this is one place Disney could "give" a little....

It's sold out for months in advance, so obviously families have no problem affording it.

Interesting...........I wonder how many of those going to the HDDR are blue collar families staying at the fort?????????

Most of the folks I saw this feb. seem to be coming from the docks....I assume they are staying at the higher income resorts......

We are blue collar from MI that stay yearly at the fort.......The hoop dee doo is just too "rich" for us.....

We are also from Mi and definitely "blue collar" but we went last time and plan on going again. Nothing about Disney is cheap, unfortunatlely. We save up for a long time to be able to go. I'd rather only be able to go once every couple of years and be able to do everything we want than to go annually and have to worry about the money. JMO of course.

I'll tell you the truth for us HDDR was a one time experience, I'm glad we went and we had an ok time, but it's not one place that I would want to go to everytime we went to WDW.
To me once you seen the show, you've seen it and unless it changed the show we wouldn't go back and spend that kind of money, the food to me is the same as Trails End, and I thought it was great but whenever we go back we won't be seeing it again but we will eat at Trails End.

$60 for an adult is a bit overpriced for bad buffet food.

HDDR is kitchy, predictable, expensive, less than delicious and older than dirt! But my family loves it!!! Nothing in this world beats my 6 year old cracking up so much that the "funny guy" broke character and cracked up at her! It is not something we do every year, but it is a regular stop for us at WDW. Lots of good memories there!

We went last April to the HDDR there were 4 adults and if I remember correctly it was like 240.00 because we had to seat in category 1 because we had a wheelchair member. It was about 60 bucks a person

There's no bigger sense of accomplisment than making a CM break character and laugh or talk from under the big ol'heads they wear!!!!

Disney recently changed how they price the Hoop Dee Doo. Reservations used to be, 'first come, best seats." Not anymore. Now the cost for the best seats in the house are $54.00 or $59.00 (sorry, I just bought tickets for ten people-cost was $599.98. Can't remember if tickets were $54 with tax, or just $59). Slightly lower prices for two other seating catagories.

Is it the same show?

We went back in 2005 and my wife was taking to a CM, maybe upon check in or at guest relations at FW and asked it the show was the same (we were last there in the mid 1980's) and the CM said "NO CHANGE" either in the show or the food and IIRC that was true, but 20 years between samples is sort of questionable.
