We actually really enjoyed the food.![]()
$300...for a family of 5![]()
a majority of Michigan families will not take home $300 a week........
$60 for an adult is a bit overpriced for bad buffet food.
Interesting...........I wonder how many of those going to the HDDR are blue collar families staying at the fort?????????
Most of the folks I saw this feb. seem to be coming from the docks....I assume they are staying at the higher income resorts......
We are blue collar from MI that stay yearly at the fort.......The hoop dee doo is just too "rich" for us.....![]()
TRUST ME- I know all about the Michigan ecomony....I'm not trying to be difficult here, but I don't understand why you are so upset about the HDDR in particular and the price.I remember you've brought this up before here. LOTS of things at WDW are way overpriced...including many other dinner shows and restaurants. I was shocked when I priced out breakfast in Cinderella's Castle. Seemed like a lot of money for a family of 5. But for some people it's worth it. I think the park tickets are outrageous and I cringe everytime they raise the price. Even at FW the golf cart prices, the site prices, and the cost for bread or milk is over inflated, but that's just how it is.
To be fair it is that way at most destination places. Cedar Point is just as bad..the campsites there are $80 a night in the fall !! Even our local movie theater charges $3.25 for a normal size bottle of water !!Prices everywhere are crazy, know what I mean ??
But we know this going in, it isn't a surprise. You have to know when you plan a vacation at WDW (no matter where you stay) it is going to cost more than it should. Am I happy that it costs $300 for my family for the HDDR, of course not. But I will pay it because we don't get down there often and my kids really want to see the show again. I would pay for Cinderella's Castle if they wanted to eat there, but happily they are not interested in getting up that early to go over there.![]()
Its a great family show.......
Unfortunately..... most families cannot afford it......at it's present pricing.....
I think this is one place Disney could "give" a little....
Why are you quoting yourself?
We get the point, you think it's overpriced, I don't see the need to post it 100 times in this thread.
I guess all the families that cause it to be sold out months in advance have no problem affording it, as others have said, this is DISNEY we are talking about, nothing is cheap there, you know that going in.
Again, I am missing your point. Every night there are several hundred people standing around waiting for the doors to open for each show (there are 2 shows each night). How in the world can you possibly determine from these hundreds of people how many of them are actually staying at Fort Wilderness? Are you making this assumption based on the fact that you see a lot of people getting off of the boats? To take this one step further, I would argue that there is no way Ft. Wilderness could support this type of dinner show based only on the people staying at Ft. Wilderness especially since many of the campers in Ft Wilderness are there for weeks at a time ( actually months at a time during the winter months) and would probably only attend once per visit. Do you not think that the Polynesian Luau is attended by people staying in resorts other than the Polynesian?I think I stayed perfectly on topic to the original poster.........sorry if that offended you![]()
I understand DISNEY bottom line.........But I can't help but notice the lack of Fort guests as opposed to other higher income resort guests that attend the HDDR ????
Shannone, I have seen many of your posts on the IRV2 website.
It appears that you are trying to make the case that the visiters at Ft. Wilderness Campground are of a lower income level than those people staying at other resorts. That may or may not be the case in certain situations, but based on the number of motor homes that I have seen there in the high six figure range, I would have to disagree with you. In fact, for a price of a premium campsite one could also stay at one of the value resorts on property. If you you don't think it in your budget than don't buy the ticket, but you should stop with the blanket assumptions about those of us that do enjoy this show.
