hoop de do

Exactly, Fort Wilderness was not built as a "poor mans" resort, nor was it ever intended to be that way. Fort Wilderness is not a place for "blue collar" people, it's a place for everyone.

There are plenty of people from Fort Wilderness that go to the Hoop Dee Doo, and plent of other resort guests that do as well (including value resorts). Who cares where they come from? Obviously it's a good enough show that it continues to be sold out, and obviously people can afford it, otherwise it wouldn't have tons of people waiting to get in every night.

I think I stayed perfectly on topic to the original poster.........sorry if that offended you

Write whatever you want, I just don't see the point of saying it's overpriced 6-7 times in this thread, we know you think it's overpriced. Oh, and by the way, the topic was about if the show was the same, not the price of the show ;)

This here thread be overdue fer a

majic fan............I like to think that the more "value minded" families stay at the Fort in relation to other WDW resorts........:thumbsup2 .......you won't find these families in 6 figure coaches........

Unfortunately these families are not represented well at the HDDR......due to the pricing.....no other reason....again it is a great family dinner show....that is totally out of reach of most blue collar families.......

I'll have a cold one lol

You might think "value minded" families stay at the Fort, but to be honest, I think "value minded" families stay at the All Star resorts, not the Fort. The Fort is not for any class of people, all kinds stay there, just like at all the resorts in Disney. As I and others have stated here, I think the majority of people that stay at the Fort are middle to upper class families. The majority of the rigs I see at the Fort are pretty nice looking, and I doubt that the families buying them are struggling for money. Not to mention all the people that stay in the cabins for hundreds a night.

And if you think the HDDR is out of reach for most blue collar families, then I guess ALL of Disney is out of reach for most blue collar families, since it is priced high just like everything else in Disney. This will never change, it will always be that way, it's a company after all, not Xanadu ;)

Oops...sorry for contributing to the off-topic. I will say a few Hail Marys and I'll answer the OP:

Yes, it is the same show. We love it! We make it a point to go once a year now. I think it's worth it in entertainment, food, and beer.

We go every year as well. Every line is the same every year and I still love that show.

I will add that our next trip to the fort is in August after several years of going in December. With the heat at that time of year all of that beeer will be worth every penney!

This may sound mean, and I really DO believe EVERYONE should be able to visit Disney....but someone said earlier that a typical MI weekly income may be less than $300...................if that's the case, then Disney probably SHOULDNT be in you near future plans. If I was only taking in $300, I sure wouldnt be heading to Disney anytime soon....I WOULD, however be putting my house up for sale and looking for work and residence in another part of the country. When the garden becomes a desert...its time to find a new garden.

How poetic of you!:goodvibes

I was just about to argue with you that WDW is for everyone. While I still believe that everyone deserves at least one amazing trip to Disney, it suddenly hit me that at $300 a week, you could easily spend a third of your annual salary on that one vacation depending on gas prices, # of people in your family, how long you stay, etc:scared1: If a new job isn't in the future, then maybe saving for several years to go may be in order. Vacationing closer to home in the mean time. Then maybe you can afford to go to HDDR! This is tough :guilty:

It's all about planning, I remember whenever we first went to WDW back in the 80's we stayed at the CBR it had just opened and we were broker than convicts , we took our house payment and went...:rolleyes1 to be young again...now that's the way to go, we had more fun than a person is allowed in a lifetime and worth every late payment. :lmao:

Exactly, if you plan it out, anyone can go to the Hoop Dee Doo. It's not like tickets are $1000 bucks a pop. It's just being responsible, managing your money, and saving wisely.

You know, like anyone should do when planning a large vacation ;)

Anyone can do anything if you set your mind to it, if you don't have enough money, be patient, save, and eventually you will have enough. Or, just don't go...lol
