I send out over 50 cards most years. I was going to make them this year since I'm not working & thought I would have the time. BUT, when I started shopping for supplies, even though I was using as much stuff as I could from what I had on hand....it got too expensive.
So, instead, just the immediate family will get handmade cards....8 of those. Everyone else gets snowflake xmas cards I got from Michael's $1 bin.
10 cards & envelopes for $1..... I can't beat that!!! They even have glitter on them. They are blank inside, so I'll personalize them somehow. The card is blue & cut into snowflake shape, with white flake on front w/ glitter.
Funny thing is I was planning on making blue snowflake theme cards anyway.

AND the post office so nicely co-ordinated their holiday stamps to match my cards this year.
The ones I'm making are: blue cardstock with a hint of glitter in the paper - folded as the card base - 3 snowflakes punched in all corners. White square on front with sentiment computer printed. Snowflake sticker on the white square. Inside: printing sentiment on vellum & sticking inside just from the top.
I've also got a snowflake foam stamp (cube 79 cents at
Walmart with 4 designs on it) that I'm going to try putting white pearlized paint on & stamp the inside of blue card or the back of the vellum. Not sure yet.
I also have a bottle of blue & silver glitter glue that has snowflakes in it too. Might spread this on the white square on front OR maybe under the vellum if I don't use the white paint stamp.
Still have to work it all out.
And of course, my logo computer printed on the back of the card before I start anything.
