Sorry you are having trouble. Hope MS can help.I cancelled a 2 day at OKW because I saw a preferred 1 BR at SSR. Got to the borrow points in the new reservation and the website crashed!! Got back to it again and it's still not working. I'm on hold and hoping for some pixie dust. We added a couple days onto a trip and changed our flights and booked a car based on the 2 day at OKW. Any advice??
I had the same thing happen to me too. So frustrating. I'm not a happy customer at this point. Disney needs to figure themselves out real quick. I have patience for things being wonky because of COVID, but all the issues I'm seeing with Disney right now can't all be attributed to that.So, I missed MS after an hour on hold this morning! Just called back and waited another hour trying to get a 1BR Preferred at SSR for one night instead of the studio I was able to get. Apparently, there's a glitch that can prevent resale contract owners from borrowing points! I told her that on 5 occasions this morning, I had a 1BR held and got to the borrow points screen and the site crashed. There was no attempt to help me secure the room other than refreshing the inventory a few times. Maybe that's all she could do. It sure falls short in my opinion! Earlier this month, I was able to borrow points for another trip we planned using our resale contract.
She said if I see the room available to call and have them borrow the points and book it. I almost laughed out loud that she thought, in this current environment, a 1 BR becoming available online for mid-September Saturday night would actually still be available after waiting on hold for 60 minutes! She didn't see the humor in that.
Oh well....there are bigger problems in the world than me and my wife having to spend one night in a Saratoga studio and then switching to a 1BR at Saratoga after spending 6 wonderful nights at the BCV in a 1BR. Unfortunately, there are 6 points in my account that will probably die since I can't use them and they will expire at the end of November. With cancellations happening, perhaps my BCV waitlist will come through.
I am now dreading the call I likely need to make to cancel an upcoming reservation.
