Someone threw $25,000 a person out there in jest I think, hope.

Does anyone have any insight? $5000 a person? $10,000?

Never thought about a MV, but now it seems I qualify to book day 1.

$5K/pp for non-concierge isn't outside the realm of possibility.

I don't know if you'll get a verandah for that but OV or inside maybe.

The summer release, it being a maiden and people craving cruising will drive the prices up big time.

I've tried to find the pricing threads for when the Dream and Fantasy were initially put on sale for my megathread on release day pricing threads but have been unsuccessful

If I remember correctly I think we paid between 6-7k for 2 adults and 1 12 yr old in a cat 5b for the Fantasy Maiden. No where near 5k a person but that is almost 10 years ago.

Was the Fantasy MV a 7 night? if so, those prices were very reasonable even if 10 yrs ago.
My guess is it'll be $2k per night per person in a verandah room for this MV. Then subsequent sailings on the Wish will go down to $1k pn/pp in a verandah.

Yes the Fantasy MV was a 7 night

People are not going to pay 1k pp per night for a Bahamas cruise. I think people are way over estimating the demand. Sure people on this board are excited, but the general public is not to keen on cruising at this point in time. We don’t even know what the restrictions are going to be yet. I’d like to say things will be back to normal a year from now, but I’ve been saying that for a year and ships still aren’t sailing.

I agree. I think $1000-$1200 per night for a veranda room is a very competitive fare, even for the European cruises. Paying nearly twice that for a basic Bahamas cruise seems unreasonable (MV excepted for some). You can do a lot of vacationing at that price point.

Maybe if Covid hadn't happened they could get two\thirds that.

our July 17th 2021 5 night Fantasy Bahamas 2 adults 2 kids is over 10k for a veranda. I would expect a maiden voyage to be quit a bit higher than that.

I can’t believe people pay that for a Bahamas cruise.

Pete is usually pretty on the mark and his guess is 4 to 5 thousand for a family of 4 in a veranda stateroom. Check out this video at about the 33 minute mark.

Some of the guesses I have been seeing posted on different threads are off the wall.

ETA-I'm sure he is not talking about the MV though.

I took a look at the video and would agree with you that his guesstimate of 4 to 5 thousand for 2A 2K in a verandah stateroom is for a regular sailing on the Wish, not the MV.

I have a May '22 Fantasy cruise booked with three 5D's, two people in each stateroom. Cost is about $15k.

I asked my TA to try and get me the same rooms on the Wish MV, though I warned her that odds were pretty good that I would balk at the price, and just stick with my existing res. It's all probably moot because I am confident it will sell out before it opens to Golds.

Fantasy opening day prices:

First mention of pricing for Concierge on later dates:

If I remember correctly -
R = Walt Disney 2-bedroom suite
S = Roy Disney 2-bedroom suite
T = 1-bedroom
V = family verandah

So.. about 30% premium tag in the maiden voyage, right?
We booked the second sailing, which turned into the third sailing as they sailed Fantasy a week earlier than expected. Our cost for April 21, 8D, 2 adults, transfers but no insurance was $2325.20. If you compare that to the week listed above, 8D 1 adult, 2 children with insurance $5080.23 it looks like the price of the MV was about 100% more. I would expect the same for the Wish.

Wow! Thanks..
