Those $42 Dings from RDU look sweet.

I'm going to reserve once my dates are available, and I'm not gonna risk NOT getting airfare for our trip in December by waiting for Dings. However, I will wait...cat-like...for a Ding that fits our trip.

I know SW offers a credit when you re-book with a Ding. My questions:
- On some recent Dings, by the time I pulled it up, only one leg was available. Can I do just MCO-RDU and keep the previous, non-Ding RDU-MCO leg?
- Is the credit for ANY SW flight, or just a specific credit with SW between MCO and RDU?
- If the first question is possible, how does the process work? Do I just book the single leg, and then contact SW to get credit and cancel for the non-Ding fare?

Sorry for the (probably) silly questions. We've never flown for our WDW trips, and I've never flown SW for anything.

I know what you mean!! I looked longingly at those $42 RDU dings too!

I'm booked now for $89 out of RDU in July....I grabbed the flights I wanted as soon as they were released, and will just watch and hope for Dings.

Not silly questions....book your legs separately so you will have 2 different confirmation numbers. If one leg gets a good Ding, you can change that leg without having to re-book both. You can use the credit for any flight, not just MCO, but it must be used within one year of the date you originally booked.
