A friend of mine has asked me to help her plan her upcoming trip. They will be arriving on Monday, Martin Luther King day - I know that day will probably be crowded - and they will be leaving on Thursday - so Tuesday and Wednesday are their two big days for the parks. What do you think attendance will be like then? We've never been in January, so I can't give her any ideas.

We were there last MLK weekend. Crowds weren't too bad (it rained on Sunday and the weather was actually cold!), but we went to MK on Tuesday and it was jammed! I think a lot of folks do as we did, take off the Friday before and the Tuesday after MLK for a long weekend. Tell your friend to plan on MK on the Wednesday. Maybe AK and Epcot on Tuesday, MK on Wednesday, and MGM on Thursday morning.

Thanks - I was hoping to find someone who had actually been there during that time frame. I had a feeling Tuesday was going to be crowded. This is their first trip, and I was hoping to help her get the most out of their trip.

We were there MLK week both last year and the year before. The park is more crowded but eases up as the week ends. The MK was open a half hour later on Tuesday both years and the crowds were thick. It was the only weeknight of Spectro and lots of people took advantage.

The "crowds" shouldn't stop your friends, they are still small by comparison, I would go again if I had no choice but this year I'm going two weeks later.
