Hi all...

I just traded a one bedroom Westgate week that was due to expire for a one bedroom at HHI in November (Nov 14 I think). What is there to do in HHI that time of year?

And also has anyone ever tried to marry a DVC reservation to one for a week long timeshare trade from another resort? I'm thinking of adding a day or two because this is a Sunday to Sunday week so adding a Sat and possibly a Fri would give me up to 9 days.

It's no different than a points and cash reservation combined and should be no problem. You may or may not have to change rooms. Remember that the points are high for those two nights. You may want to consider a side trip like Savannah or Charleston for a couple of nights.

If you have never been to HHI, it is quite different than being at the parks. IT is peaceful, relaxing and quiet. There is plenty to do but weather can get in the way. We went last year for Thanksgivng time.

Some of the days were delightful but the weather turned nasty at the end of our stay and coats and jackets needed to be worn. We had a Dolphin trip scheduled which had to be cancelled. I did use the pool, it was alot of fun, even in the nasty cold weather.

They have story telling, crafts for the kids, a game room. They have movie night for the kids. (local theater) outside games, bike riding, fishing off their dock, etc. Wednesday I believe is when they do a shrimp (sea food) bake outside.

We went over to the ocean one day just to see what it was like, there is a really nice pool, snack bar, games, ping pong tables. You can also stroll the beach. If your into bike riding, it's a nice ride over.

There are plenty of restraurants in the area, a food store right next door on the main drag (street) where we did all our food shopping. They have some outlet stores near by and wife and daughter went there one afternoon while I snoozed in a lawn chair.

Go and have fun and relax, can't wait to go back.
