Hilton Grand Vacation Club

Has anyone stayed in a 2 BR unit at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club recently? If so, how is this resort? How far was your drive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot? Would you recommend any particular units/buildings? Thanks!!!

Hi, we didnt stay there recently but I do know its a very nice resort, very clean, nice pool (pools now)..Its located near Sea World but probably only about a 20 minute drive to the Disney parks..I would highly recommend the place. FYI: the newer buildings are furthest from the main building..they have built on and made them go further out but I did hear they also built another pool..

I'd like to know too! We are staying in a 2 bdrm. here at the end of Nov. Ttfn, I've only read good things about the HGVC (actually, I did read about one problem, that parking was somewhat limited for the amount of units there, but I only saw that complaint once). Someone else also posted that it took about 20-25 min. door to door to any of the parks.

I also have another question...does anyone know whether you should tip housekeeping in these timeshare/condo units (particularly HGVC) if you are not having them come in midweek?

They look great, backed by a first class organization, have great kids programs..... They'll be great.

I wouldn't tip for work not done. The room is cleaned when you arrive and not again 'til you leave.

20 minutes should be max.

We stayed at OLCC and that was because I like the idea of maybe golf (mostly dreaming).....

I have booked the HGVC through the Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC) because my DH is retired Air Force and we are eligible (you need to be active duty or retired military, Department of Defense employee, etc.). The website is www.afvclub.com and you can check the website to see if you're eligible. The rate we got is $249 for the week for a 2 bdrm. which I'm very happy with. I have also heard of Skyauction offering great rates for HGVC though I don't know any details. Good Luck!

Check it out. I am doing it for the week we are in Orlando (2/13-23). We are doing AKL and then switching over, the only problem is that they don't have any room at the HGVC and they put you up in one of their other hotels, so we are being put up at Doubletree Guest Suites at Downtown Disney. Can't have it all.
