Thank you!Yes you can, not only for food and items from the Mercantile, but also for recreation activities and renting bicycles. I've used my Rewards for all those things.

Wow that is surprising!I just read this morning that Nectar on the island will be closing on October 1st, and One Hot Mama's will be moving into that space. After that, Nectar will be looking for another, smaller (?) location. I was really surprised about them looking for a smaller place-when we were there, it seemed really crowded even though it was off-season. Since we get lots of BBQ where we live here in Texas, we've never gone to OHMs so we don't know if this is a bigger spot for them. But I'll really miss Nectar.
Good news you don’t have to worry about getting a rewards card issued which required $20 in rewards or refilling your existing card which required a minimum of $10.Can you use Disney Rewards Redemption cards at this property?
We weren't impressed with Nectar, but we love One Hot Mama's. We always get a pound of pulled pork to eat on for our lunches in the room. I hope they are not closed on October 6 when we arrive on the island!I just read this morning that Nectar on the island will be closing on October 1st, and One Hot Mama's will be moving into that space. They do (or at least they did when I worked there), but those types of bikes are of limited quantity. When are you going? If it's not a terribly busy time of the year, you should be okay. Even if the resort doesn't have one when you arrive, you could quickly order one from any number of bike rental places, almost all of which are reputable and will deliver.I asked on the last page how much bikes are, but I have more questions. My DH just had a hip replacement three weeks ago. The doctor had originally told him he would be able to ride a bike by the time of our trip. But now his PT is telling him he needs to be very careful and suggested he rent an adult tricycle. Does anyone know if the Disney resort has these? If so, how much? If not, where would be a good place to rent, and do they deliver?

That's part of the slower season, generally. We will be there the second week of October.
I like your odds that time of year.Update—I just called the recreation desk. They do have adult trikes for $50 length of stay with the DVC discount. Hoping we can get one (or two if I decide to get one too) since the prices off-site seem to be quite a bit higher.
The last week of August is still busy--not July 4th busy, but still quite full. The chances of snagging a 1BR that time of year are low, though certainly not impossible. This difficulty primarily is a result of there only being 21 1BRs on the entire property (alternately, there are 76 2BRs), so the numbers are not in your favor. What has it been like crowd wise this past, last week of august? What are my chances of snagging a 1 bedroom at the 7 month mark for that time of year next year?

I don't know, but I have been checking everyday for months.https://dvcnews.com/other-resorts/h...ions-still-not-available-for-vero-hilton-head
I wonder why DHHIR is not available on cash for 2025 yet. (I can see the cash rates through Nov 2025 though.)
I have numerous DVC point reservations booked at 2025 and a cash reservation in Nov 2024.
When we were there in August it seemed like this had been completed.I wonder if it has something to do with withholding inventory for the renovation.
Wow that is very odd!I don't know, but I have been checking everyday for months.
I previously saw the first week of February become available (and still is), which originally made me think I missed the release of the whole month of January, but there's just no way. Also, it's January, so it wouldn't be sold out.
I wonder if it has something to do with withholding inventory for the renovation. Almost like they think they opened up reservations, but the rooms are somehow in a blocked out status? I have no idea what is going on.
Exactly. It's almost like when they opened rooms back up for cash booking, they forgot to "turn on 2025"?When we were there in August it seemed like this had been completed.
Yeah, it's so weird.Wow that is very odd!
I see a few dates in Feb as well, but no others!
I see the dates open on DVC points, but not on cash?
My example is Feb 1. This the only date from Jan, Feb, or March that is available.Exactly. It's almost like when they opened rooms back up for cash booking, they forgot to "turn on 2025"?
Yeah, it's so weird.
