HH 7-month booking in summer?

We'll thinking about adding a couple of days at HH, to our June'04 vacation. We don't own there, so we'll be booking 7-months out. Will we have any trouble getting a Sunday-Tuesday ressie in a 2-br? ... I'm trying to stack the deck in our favor as much as possible.

What about VB? What's it like booking a summer side-trip to this resort? This would be our alternate choice.

I don't know about HH, but I have been able to get VB each time I have tried in less than 7 mo. Just plan early and call as soon as the 7 month window opens. It helps to be a little flexable also, on room size and dates.

You will have the best luck at HH with a 2bdrm since there are more of these. I would call as soon as the 7 mo window opens up and use the waitlist if necessary. Good Luck, and let us know if it works out! We will be at HH beginning Memorial Day weekend.

Last year we were able to get a 2-bdroom for July 11-14 at the 7 month, but we were flexible with the dates. They were Sun-thurs, though. It is harder to get a 1 bdroom because there are less of them. We were in Building 31which is right at the end of the turn around and right at the mouth of Shelter Cove Harbor. From our balcony we watched the fireworks go off from their barge and every morning we saw dolphins at the mouth of the inlet and all the kayakers playing with them..It was great! When we chedked-in the CM said "WOW you folks have the best room on the resort..and its even ready!" He was right.

You might but I wouldn't count on it. As noted, a 2 BR will help. If it's early June, you're in much better shape than later June. Call day by day when they open if you truly want it and have a back up plan, maybe a cash rental you can cancel.
