***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

Heading to Disneyland tomorrow to catch the MSEP. We've completed many of our WDW October trip reservations with a few key items that weren't available yet:
Polynesian DVC studio
Oct 7 (arrival day :)) 'Ohana dinner after fireworks on the beach! We are coming from AZ so the 9:30 dinner will be like 6:30 to us!
Oct 8 (MILs 79th b-day), Tusker breakfast, waiting for ROL Tiffin's packages to open
Oct 9 Sci-Fi lunch, Waiting for Star Wars Tour to open
Oct 10 BOG pre-opening breakfast, San angel Inn early dinner and waiting for IDP to open
Oct 11 Fishing excursion from the Poly 7a-9a, Breakfast at Kona, resort time and dinner at JNC Skipper's, fireworks from inside MK
Oct 12 AK in the morning to catch what we may have missed due to crowds and Liberty Tree (5:30p) for early dinner before MNSSHP
Oct 13 Le Cellier lunch and final dinner at Hoop Dee Doo Review for the late show as we have a 7am flight the next day...:(

We are going to be doing many, many new things! It's one of the great things about WDW, no matter how often you go there is likely something new to try.

The Splash refurb is still just a rumor but it comes from a pretty credible source so Im gonna bank on it happening and if it doesnt it will be pixie dust.

Yes, exactly. ::yes::

If by some stroke of luck it turns out not to be true, I will happily remove it!

Currently looking at traveling October 8th-14th! We've sent in the request to book with DVC points, with our first choice being the BWV's. Now to anxiously wait.

looks good except perhaps that you are planning morning EHM at Epcot on your party night. Maybe you are more youthful and energetic than myself but that is a very long day and Epcot days tend to be a lot of walking on top of the long day. I always try to go into the party fully recharged and sleep in that day so that I wont be dragging with sore feet by dark. You might tour differently than I do and enjoy that parties differently but I really try to stay at the parties until closing since there is so much to do and it can be a much less crowded time to enjoy the park and I cant do that with an early morning and lots of walking before the party.

It's our second day, really only doing Future World, World Showcase if we have time and we will be out of there by noonish to make it back for lunch at The Wave at about 1:40 or so. Then relaxing after lunch until we leave for party around 5:30 - may or may not stay until midnight, we will watch parade, ride rides, no characters. We will be fine. :) Sleeping in and a later start on our next day at Animal Kingdom.

I walk regularly 8-10 miles a day throughout the day and he's training for a marathon so he's in good shape. :)

I make mine tomorrow and I feel so unprepared! I'm just grabbing a couple of "must do"s in the morning and then doing some patchwork to fill in the rest as the weeks go by. This poor trip has totally taken a backseat to the one coming up :sad1: While planning for May, I've really come to love the reservation finder on Touring Plans, so I will probably be using it a lot for October, too!

I like your choices! You've got some great meals planned!!

@xlsm Unless you are getting any that are difficult to get the times you need, you should be fine making ADR's even a month before!

I'm just doing my as soon as I can to get the times I want for O'hana and California Grill. :)

Yep, just going for our Ohana and a CRT tomorrow, maybe a SciFi. Everything else can wait! I'm a pro at last minute reservation changes, cancellations, and additions. (Calling myself a "pro" sounds so much better than "indecisive", right?? :rotfl:)

My 180 days is 15 days away. I have no idea what I am going to do for dining. LOL. 4th trip and this is the first time I absolutley have no clue as to what my trip is going to look like. All I know is I am doing the Sleepy Hollow event on my arrival day and MNSSHP the second night. As for that everything is up in the air.
Work has been crazy and I just have not had time to devote to my plan. feeling really lost right now. LOL. Hopefully I will get everything together between now and May 2nd.. LOL.

@melana - honestly, the only reason I have this planned out as much as I do is because my brother and two of my sisters are meeting up with us a few days in and I'm in charge of all ADRs and making the fast pass reservations! I sent them a list of restaurants and link to the menu website and asked their opinion.

I feel a bit of pressure to get this right, although I don't know why. :confused3

I'm getting so stressed as ADR time gets closer. Right now I have 4 Signatures! 4! Yachtsman Steakhouse, Citricos, Flying Fish and Jiko and I don't want to give up a single one of them particularly Jiko since the first leg of our trip as at AK KV. As a matter of fact, I wish I could add one more and still thinking about it. The issue is with ROL, SWGS, MNSSHP and a dessert party, that doesn't leave you too much time for dinner reservations. I just don't want to eat too late most nights and if dining @ 5:00 PM, will I have to rush and stress too much when doing a Signature? I would love to do California Grille but Citricos really intrigues me. I'll have to keep checking the menus as that will help me decide between California Grille and Citricos, I guess. So many decisions!

Well, ADR morning didn't go very well over here. The website would not work on Chrome, so even though it would show me the times I wanted, it would throw an error page at me after I picked members of my party. Not a cute Stitch, but a blank white page with black print. So I switched to Safari and was able to book a few things, then I checked the app just for the heck of it and found different times available there...

I was frustrated, but it's not the end of the world...I've got a lot of time to keep playing around with them!
